Hôtel Excelsior Opéra

This is a great little hotel with free WiFi, 12 Euros breakfast, and excellent customer service. The French staff was amazing.
It’s very affordable and right next to a underground rail station. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were very modern and clean. Like most elevators in Paris, they’re tiny. We took the spiral stair often since we could barely fit the three of us in it. There’s a nice little market right next door if you need basic fruits and sandwiches before you go play tourist. You’re only a few blocks away from Rue Sainte-​Anne where an entire block of Asian food is located at if you’re craving for it.
I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great 3 star hotel. Of course the photos make the hotel look nicer than it actually is but that didn’t bother me. It is very centrally located. Close to several metro and bus lines that will take you less than a block away to the hotel in the Opera district. It’s very clean (both rooms and common areas) and the breakfast was good and filling. It cost 11 eu per day for breakfast and it was buffet style. Scrambled eggs that were cooked perfectly, meaning NOT over cooked. Coffee that was nice and strong. Yummy pulpy orange juice. Different types of breads and croissants, yogurts, applesauce, cereal and don’t forget Nutella!
The thing that most impressed me was the customer service. I had made a travel faux pas trying to get back to Amsterdam at the end of our stay with them. Instead of taking a plane back we needed to get on the train. they contacted Thalys for us and booked us on the train with all of our needed confirmations. i would not have expected that from a 3 star hotel. they did everything with a smile. the staff was 100% helpful.
i guess my only con would be that i wish the bed was a bit more comfy. But the pillows were nice and fluffy :)
oh and yes… FREE WIFI!!!

That’s the real deal but these guys were smart, they hired a good photographer!
The hotel and rooms are not as cool as the pictures suggest but the hotel is clean, the customer service is okay and the free breakfast will save you 30 Euros every morning…
I don’t think I would stay here again on my own dime but if I had to one someone else’s I wouldn’t mind…

hotel sur les boulevards a proximite d haussmann. prix raisonnable au regard de la situation de l hotel, juste derrière l opera garnier. chambre correct.
