I had the amazing opportunity to visit Paris France this year. My friend and I stayed at Hotel St. Andre. It is a quaint hotel that apparently housed the Musketeers at one point! Some say there are a few of their spirits still residing there. We were on the third floor — note there are no elevators! We worked off our daily .yes daily…éclairs each day. The stairs are uneven and spiral up towards each floor. I loved the feel of the hotel — it just oozes history. Our bedroom had two double beds, a three piece bathroom and a little desk and wardrobe. They have free wifi and no tv — who needs tv while visiting Paris?! Our room was facing a tiny courtyard that was connected to the neighbouring building — you can get rooms that face the street but be prepared for the noise — people are out and about well into the night having fun. There is a simple continental breakfast each day that consists of fresh baguette and tea/coffee or hot chocolate. The baguettes are simply amazing… you wouldn’t think that a few pieces of bread would fill you up but it sure does — we weren’t hungry again until lunch. All of the staff is very friendly and most of them speak English really well — they can point you in the direction of tourist attractions and places to buy tickets if need be. The rooms are cleaned each day — not exactly cleaned perfectly — much dust under the beds — but they were tidy enough for me. The beds were surprisingly comfortable! I tend to hate the beds in hotels but I slept like a log each night… maybe from jet lag… not sure. It is just down the street from Starbucks and many delicious places to eat… best pizza i’ve ever had to be honest. This isn’t a high class hotel by any means but for the price it was the perfect location and place to lay our heads each night. Thank you Hotel St Andre des Arts for the wonderful week!

First let me apologize for not taking a picture of this little place. I meant to, I really did! Maybe it’s because every time I came/left I had had too much wine. Maybe. This is an adorable, adorable little place tucked in a random location that has an amazing vibe. Love, love, loved the neighborhood(as well as the hotel). You can’t really book this place online, you’ve gotta give them a ring. They are a little stuck in the non-internet age… but that’s what makes it so cute. The rooms are small, but quiet. They have a decent shower, decent bed and pillows, and decent breakfast(which is included and set up in the main reception area in the mornings). There are some great restaurants nearby and the metro is just a couple blocks away. For sure I’d recommend this place to anyone going to Paris — and will definitely book again next time I’m in town. Hope it’s soon… missing Paris already(maybe not the prices).

A little gem nestled in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It’s a lovely historic building near excellent restaurants in the vicinity. It is within walking distance to 2 of the most famous bistros in Paris, «Les Deux Magots» and«Café Flore» near the Saint-Germaine-des-Pres. A great location to revisit where the writers and artists of the«Lost Generation,» such as Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, George Antheil and Man Ray spent a great deal time. It’s also near the Musée D’Orsay that is housed in an impressive Beaux-Arts railway station and Notre Dame Cathedral. The hotel has a warm family feel to it. The rooms are big with high ceilings, and exposed original beams. It is a very old building with no elevator. Still the hike to your room is bearable. It is a great value for the Latin Quarter. You should be paying a lot more to stay in this area of Paris.
