Go for the«special» oysters. They worth the little extra. Oysters in general is fresh and tasty, though a bit pricey since all you can eat is oysters.

Really can’t imagine a better place to get oysters. The room was small but cozy and enough room between tables that you didn’t feel crowded. The menu was simple, just shellfish. You could get a mixed platter or dozens of your favorites. This day we tried a dozen of both of these smaller Boyster’s and the bigger special ones. Both were good in their own way but we likes the flavor of the bigger one just slightly more. Then we tried the flats oysters which we were not a fan of. We decided to stay away from the shrimps because it seemed like too much work to shell them out. The wine list was also very nice and mostly white wines of course since you’re having shellfish. There was one wine specifically out of the two we tried that was fantastic but the name escapes me at the moment. I will have to go back and search for it so we can find a bottle for later tasting. It is a little expensive being that it’s the center of Paris and oysters but the experience is great. Beware though, they don’t take reservations and there was a line both times we came by. So make sure you don’t show starving and have the time to wait around 30 minutes for a table.

The oysters there taste just heavenly. I have been there three times in two weeks. Recommended their specials(No. 3 large perhaps?).

Exceeds expectations — dry Sancerre and Specials de Claire #3 to die for. Singular focus on oysters really pays off.

The best raw oysters I’ve ever had! I told my husband that I wanted something exotic to eat and he was browsing through Unilocal to find this place. He surprised me with raw oysters which he knows I loveee. I was satisfied with their raw oysters, very fresh and sweet! Oh my, I’m drooling thinking about it now. Shrimp was also very delicious, sweet! And we tried sea urchin which was interesting and good. Very satisfied with the food and service. Place is small but not overly crowded, which got me surprised but I wouldn’t even complain because no wait for us. I was sure a one happy wife after we left this place :) It’s a must try it!

Omg loved this place! We are from California and my husband searched for good oysters on Unilocal and must I say I have never been in an amazing seafood restaurant ever!!! It is all white and small barely makes 30 people capacity. But who cares the oysters are so so good and the menu is is easy and plain. It’s a must if ur in Paris. Wish California had something like this by the beaches all we have is a bunch of fried seafood food chains! Service is excellent and the drinks they only offer water or wine which is still good!

I was skeptical at first cuz it was such a small place. Extremely small and only 2 people working. We didn’t wait long before we got a table. Since it was already 9:30 pm, a lot of the seafood selection was either finished or not in season. However, from what was available, I can honestly say that these are the best oysters I’ve had in Paris and we’ve been here more than 10 times. I’m really surprised at the awesome quality. And the owner is such a nice lady. We had a pleasant conversation as well. Lovely way to end our Paris trip.

Huge delicious oysters that were so fresh. Order a dozen with wine for a simple, perfect meal. No reservations, so go early to avoid waiting in line too long(Parisians tend to eat after 8:30pm). Menu has English translation.

The best oysters in Paris. Always a pleasure and waitstaff is great. Try the Cabane — 6 fin du Clair, 6 special and 6 shrimp! Excellent wine as well. Always a treat.

Limited selection on the menu, but the oysters & shrimp were all quite fresh and the ambiance was good when we went. Contrary to some reviews, we felt service was reasonable though more informal than most of the restaurants we visited in Paris — the waitress spoke English as well, which was a plus. Prices seemed fair, but not cheap; line for tables in the small restaurant developed shortly after we arrived. We hope to return on our next trip!

Beautiful oysters. It’s very small but on an off hour you can get in for a glass of wine and tasty oysters. You can also get oysters as take away. Just note, you must get one of the set menus of at least 12 oysters per person and I believe they only accept cash.

It’s a very neat and elegant place. The selection is limited but specialized. I am not much of an oyster person but I couldn’t stop eating them tonight. The oysters and shrimps were very fresh. The atmosphere is nice and calm. The service was a so very good. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Pros– loved the oysters, loved the bottle of 2012 Breton. Cons– slow service and the waitress was profoundly rude for no good reason. Acted as if our party was an tremendous inconvenience in her busy day. She must have taken umbrage to my terrible French…

Extremely small, even for Paris. The oysters were good and fresh, but I’ve had better. There’s a minimum of 12 oysters per person. The service is terrible, it felt like we intruded on the staff’s party. They were all drinking wine and then broke out the champagne when a friends dropped by, I thought«unprofessional». Meanwhile we just sat waiting, watching them, really. There’s no music and the only drinks available are wine, champagne and water. Definitely won’t go back, tourists trap.

Yum. French oysters are special. There are nothing like these in the US. Régis has great, fresh oysters. Get the«specials» which are sweet with a great balance of saltiness. Totally yummy.

Can I give it 10 stars??? I haven’t been here in over a year but I have told so many friends about it, and they keep coming back telling me how amazing it was. The best oysters I have ever had in my life! The place is very small, you will most likely have a wait, but believe me when I tell you it is WELL worth the wait. The only options are oysters and shrimp. I had both. Of course the oysters were phenomenal but I was actually shocked by shrimp as well. They were so sweet and didn’t need a thing, they had so much flavor on their own! The wine list pairs perfectly with the oysters and I will never forget the bottle of Sancerre I had with dinner as well. As I said before, I recommend this place to everyone I know that is going to Paris and I cannot wait to go back myself!!!

Tucked in one of the small alleys in St. Germain, Paris is Huitrerie Régis. Though small and not a place you’ll pass by on your way to the shopping areas, it’s definitely worth a visit. After waiting with a bowl of Tom Yum Kung in the Thai restaurant right next to Huitrerie, they were finally opened and already packed. We managed to squish into a table for four in the packed restaurant with barely enough space to get around in. We realized that there was a minimum of a dozen oysters per person but here’s the thing. If you’re there with a group and it’s not likely that you can eat a dozen oysters each, you can order something as substitute. We placed an order of shrimps(more expensive than a dozen of oysters) so we didn’t have to stuff a dozen oysters each. It takes a while for the platter of oysters to get to your table but you’ll notice that Huitrerie Régis is more of a family-run type of business. There’s only one man shucking the oysters. They were probably opened for only about half an hour and the man is already sweating from shucking away for all the oyster-cravers. While we were still waiting for our platter, a decent line has already formed outside of the restaurant. The oysters were the best I’ve had throughout my trip in Europe. We went to a couple that the locals as well as food review sites recommended but they were just not as good. We ordered the Fines de Claires, Speciales de Claires and the organic shrimps. If I remember correctly, the Speciales de Claires was way too salty for my liking. However, I can give you my word that the oysters were very, very fresh.

Best oysters ever. Certainly used to eating oysters in the USA, but these take the whole experience to a different level. IF you’re a oyster fan, get yourself two dozen(1 doz minium per person) and bottle of Sancerre and it will be a highlight of your Paris visit, I promise.

I went here with a friend for their famed oysters and it did not disappoint. Since they don’t accept reservations, we had to get there early. We tried their«formule degustation» with glasses of Sancerre. The oysters were fresh and the service cheerful and friendly. I have found my alternative to driving to Brittany for the oysters!

This review is for their take-out, not dine in. I’ve had their oysters twice. Both take-out. Both times amazingly fresh oysters. They were so plump, fresh and perfectly briny. We ordered two dozen oysters. I can’t remember the type. Also, we ordered a little bit of shrimp. First of all, I was dubious about ordering already cooked shrimp because that meant all the flavor is probably already lost! NOTHERE. I was pleasantly surprised that they were still moist. Next time I’m in Paris and crave oysters without wanting to eat out, I’d go here. Plus, they give you 5 euros back when you return the tray! Make sure you ask for lemon, because the first time they didn’t give us any.
