L’Artisan du Burger

Located a stone’s throw from les halles, The Burger Artisan is the follower of a trend which is already established in the UK but which is struggling (for obvious reasons) in France, the high quality burger.
The concept itself is pretty easy: take one of the most cheap, fast-​food alike food in the world, the burger, and let it become a high quality meal. I do sincerely like this approach, I think it’s a very nice way to put something good on a table at affordable prices. Of course this is much more difficult to do in France, where the traditional brasserie gives you a more traditional meal for more or less the same price.
Anyway, the place is super tiny so please do check out the tables while queuing, otherwise you’ll need to eat outside (and that may not be the best experience for the most part of the year in Paris).
For 15 euros (as of March 2016) you’ll get a burger, a soda and fries. Which is quite cheap compared to UK prices, maybe a bit too much. While the price is good, in fact, the same thing can not be applied to the burger, which was a bit too fatty and left a bad trace of grease when finished. The same thing can be applied to fries, too much oil at a too low temperature left part of them soggy and unpleasant.
All in all I like the idea and I think Paris can have more places like this one, but they do need to adjust the quality of their ingredients and the skills of the people in the kitchen.

Un bon burger sympa, rapide et bon. J’étais remplie. Le pain noire à l’encre de seiche était excellent et pas trop épais. Ce qui est agréable. Le point négatif? Je dirai le prix et le fait que la terrasse soit hyper serrée. Mais ça né m’a pas empêchée d’aimer et peut-​être d’y retourner à l’occasion.

Ce fut bon mais un peu juste au niveau des quantités. De plus, les frites sont bonnes mais n’ont rien d’artisanal car ils les vendent à Metro.
Bonne qualité de viande et les sauces sont bonnes.
Le service était agréable et relativement rapide.
Le burger noir à l’encre de seiche a son petit effet visuel mais pas de plus sur le goût, comme stipulé lors de la commande.
Un peu cher pour ce que c’est quand même.

Franchement la qualité est vraiment pas top. Un gros burger plein de sauce qui dégouline de partout. Le soi-​disant bacon grillé = des rondelle de blanc de dinde de fleury michon… faudra m’expliquer. Ca né vaut pas les 11 € du tout vu l’attente très longue pour ce qui est sensé être de la fast food.
