Recommended by our Concierge and we were wonderfully impressed. Our Waiter George was wonderfully accommodating to my allergy issues and extremely pleasant to deal with. We arrived early by French standards(8pm) and by 9pm the place was packed by local Parisians. I had the duck dish and my wife the pork knuckle. Never would my wife had ordered this in the states. I travel globally for business and these two dishes were in the top 5 this year.

If you re staying at the meridien or around. Probably the best place to go. Food is very french and the chef has more than 40 years experience. The meat is simply delicious and the way it’s cooked is to perfection. The service is also very friendly and welcoming. Be ready to some traditional foods. A good place. Definitely will come back

I asked the concierge at the Le Meridien where he would go for feel good french cuisine. He suggest here. The duck leg was the best that I ve ever had anywhere in the world. Better than fancy Michilin star restaurants or the best Peking duck houses in Beijing. Yes it’s that good! Every bite was the perfect blend of crispy skin, little bit of fat and well flavored meat. Absolutely exquisite. Just give it a try. Paris is filled with excellent restaurants if you are willing to look beyond the usual top 10 list.

I was looking for a casual diner having just traveled in from the US and not wanting to get«dressed up.» I found Le Petit Sale walking distance from the AC Marriott and was pleasantly greeted at the door. I ordered the Onglet Grill«rare» and it was perfectly prepared. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The Bordeaux he recommended was perfect and the price was fair. Highly recommend!

Ate here twice due to its proximity to AC Marriott hotel. Food and service were both excellent. Do yourself a favor and order the cassoulet — a taste treat to savor. The steak was also good, and made better by the mushrooms it was topped with.

Pleasant, friendly staff, very attentive. Best cassoulet I’ve ever had, full stop. Well made with excellently integrated flavors. The meats were perfectly done. It was also a large portion; I could have easily split it with someone. Cassoulet is such a basic dish, yet it’s so easy to get it wrong. They get it very, very right.

Granted the bar is high in Paris, but this place is definitely more than 3 star. Went here by myself after a very long day at work, and really enjoyed dinner. Mesclun Salad was relatively large, and artfully prepared. Scallops were outstanding, served warm, with mushrooms, in a light wine– based sauce. I think the best thing about the place though is the friendly, cozy, vibe. My waiter(maybe the owner?, as I think his wife seated me) was very friendly to a guy that speaks little French. If you are staying at the Hyatt Etoile or La Meridien Etoile, this place is right around the corner Also, they take American Express which is a little hard to find in the area.

walked around and found this place on our first day here. it was ok, nothing memorable especially for paris standards where everything is amazing! but the staff here are friendly and it is a cute neighborhood thing.

It’s around the corner left from Le Meridien Etoile. We ate here nearly everyday during our trip.(The neighborhood back there has excellent bakery and fruit stand too.) From 1st day jet lag hamburger & Coke, to ordering plate of the day on chalk board, to back page provance dishes like jambone, tripe sausage, we really enjoyed this place. Everyone was very friendly. And do open the wine on your table and share it with people next table, it’s very reasonably priced, and the locals will welcome you as their own(thou few locals hated this place being discovered and no amount of wine will make them happy.)

Hey hey hey…
