We walked around Saint-Michel looking for a dinner spot and came across this place. The service was very good. They had English menus and the waitress was incredibly helpful. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the restaurant. We had the duck and the skirt steak and both were great, but the duck was exceptional. The steak came out rarer than expected but it was still good.

Right at the top of Saint-Michel metro station, this adorable little place has the BEST French Onion soup I’ve had in Paris. The Confit du Canard was near-perfect, too, albeit a tad bit too salty for this salt-lover. The ham & cheese tartine with perfect sunny side up and crusty bread was to die for. Why did it take me so long to find this place?

I will admit that I have no idea what«real» French cuisine should taste like(what should real American food like). I had a Normandie chicken dish and crem Brielle and I was pleased. It is very convenience to the Holiday Inn and after trekking the length of Versille I did need another step. It seemed a little touristy than the other places but the spoke English. I would not walk miles to get there but I would not avoid the convenience

For my wife and I, this was our favorite restaurant we visited in Paris. First: the server was amazing! He spoke perfect English and French, I believe I may have also heard him speaking Spanish. We were out celebrating my wife’s birthday(we didn’t reveal this) and he played a huge part in making it special. His recommendations were not the most expensive things on the menu meaning they were truly recommendations. I can’t say enough good things about the service here! My wife and I both did our research and we picked this place because we heard the steak tartare was the best. We were not disappointed. The quality was unbelievable and it tasted great. We went in with high expectations and they were met. Dessert was terrific as well, I took a recommendation from our fantastic server. Great experience! It’s right by the Saint-Michel stop on the Metro so you cannot miss it. I would recommend this place not just over any restaurant in Paris but also over a lot of the great restaurants I’ve visited in my life. Overall from the service to the food a high quality establishment!

A very nice place with very pleasant service. Wine is great and affordable and the food delicious. I would stonily recommend this place when visiting the Latin quarters. Seems to be frequented by locals.

This was the first restaurant we saw after exiting the metro station across the street. Popped in and decided to have lunch here. We ordered the foie gras and beef tartare & french onion soup. Having been in Paris for almost a week we still had not had these dishes so I was happy once I saw these items on their menu. The disappointment sets in after a few bite of my foie gras. It was very pâté-ish, not smooth and velvety like the other foie gras I’ve had in the past. I did not like it one bit! They should have offered some sort of fig jam or something to soften up the taste. Then, the beef tartare came out, it looked like a raw hamburger patty. The taste was good but the presentation was such a turn off we couldn’t finish it. The couple next to us both ordered the beef tartare and devoured the entire plate, I am still not quite sure how they managed that. I did however enjoy the french onion soup, very tasty. Our waiter was nice and very helpful, he was the only waiter managing all the tables outside and we didn’t have to wait to long for our food and he was very helpful when we asked him for tips and directions about the area.
