Decent takeaway crêpe, but not the best that I’ve had in Paris. The crepes were all pre-made in a large stack, and then filled with your choice of ingredient when you order. The ham & cheese crêpe(served as a rectangle shape) was okay, but not great, for 4 Euros.

I had my very first crêpe and Monaco(beer + grenadine) in Paris here. I’ll never forget getting to Monmarte at night and after viewing the breathtaking city, searching for a crêpe place to find they were all about to close. Luckily, Les Comestibles welcomed us with open arms. It has a cute little french charm and I remember everything being wooden. The bathroom was two or three flights of stairs up on a sketchy looking floor that was pretty much abandoned. I didn’t even care, I was still in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Since it was my first crêpe in Paris, I had nothing to compare it to, but it was amazingly creamy and perfect. I wish Monacos were a thing in the US; maybe I should just make it a thing.

Les Comestibles doesn’t really have any impressive food but it’s serviceable French stuff that comes with its cozy colorful multi-floored interior and some additional seats outside for eating and good old Parisian people watching. I had a breakfast omlette and a glass(or two) of red wine(made getting down the hill a bit fun)…I can’t say the omlette was very good as I think it could’ve been fluffier but it wasn’t bad either. The prices were solid and reasonable — you really go to a touristy restaurant like this for the views and atmosphere, which I enjoyed. Located by Sacre Couer, the surrounding area is dense with tourists so be ready for that.
