This was a busy restaurant and on a whim we decided to dine. We were sat in the back, with other Americans, near bathroom. The food was great, the service was well. Even if the service was bad, WHICHITWASNOT! this is 4 stars any day. We had the Spanish eggs appetizer; no picture SORRY it went THAT quick. We ordered the goat she’s salad and the tuna tartare. The salad was delicious and very salty with cured meat. You will want water. The tuna was refreshing and came with potatoes and salad. We were so full, no room for dessert. But we did have an espresso. This restaurant is a convenient location near Eiffel Tower. I would recommend it to anyone! Just maybe try and make a reservation, for prime seating! Bön Appetite!

Owned by the same folks who run«Les Crocs de l’Ogre» on Avenue Bosquet, «Les Crocs des Halles» takes after its predecessor in nearly every way, but with subtle and important differences. There is still a butcher in house, who anyone can order from instead of choosing from the menu(a fantastic alternative that I choose every time). There is still an amazing wine list focused on smaller, artisinal vineyards with very interesting and delicious wines. There is still a beey friendly, very knowledgable, bi-lingual staff. And there is the rustic, sophisticated-but-laid-back atmosphere so unique to «Les Crocs.» The differences start with the layout of the restaurant. The main restaurant is upstairs, in a spacious room that overlooks the adjacent gardens of the church. There is also a basement still under construction that will be a second eating space. It will also be available to reserve for private gatherings, which is guaranteed be extraordinary. On the ground floor, in the back behind the welcome desk, is a smoking room. It has a proper bar and will accomodate both cigar and cigarette smokers alike who wish to smoke before, during, or after their meal with a nice drink in hand. The final difference is the appetizer menu. It differs from the other restaurant, but has its own merits nonetheless. Featuring a delicious egg dish, a tender and slender beef carpaccio, bone marrow, fois gras, and an indescribably good mushroom dish, the appetizers are unique, and chances are that you won’t have had anything like them before! Overall, it’s a great experience. The crew at «Les Crocs» know what they’re doing, both with respect to wine and to food, and they consistently deliver an amazing French steakhouse experience. Highly recommend!
