Marina de Paris

Dinner cruise starting at the D’orsay and doing the usual loop around Paris on the seine. Our ride was lovely and the food was good — not great. The tour gets a 4 but the food us a 3plus.
The pâté was good while he steak was very tough — not unexpected but probably not the greatest cut. The captain compensated by giving us a view of all sights including the light illumination of the Eiffel Tower.
Choice of wine– better to share a bottle for two. All seats are good and have a super view.

There are some dinner occasions that the food is the least of the concern, because you are not going there for the food.
The Marina de Paris Dinner Cruise is one of those events. We were there for the breathtaking cruise on La Seine. We were there for the views of some of the World’s greatest historical monuments along the river. We were there for some of the most romantic moments one would cherish for a lifetime. We were there for the love that’s in the air.
But we were very pleasantly surprised by the presentation and the quality of the food. This is one of those rare occasions where the food is actually really good. (Given that it’s served cruise ship/​banquet style where they have to serve several hundred people at the same time, we’ll need to keep our expectations reasonable.)

APPETIZER PLATE:

– Scallops on a bed of fresh tomato with basil crumble
– Quinoa and confit vegetables with butterfly shrimp
– Little chou pastries with fresh goat’s cheese and a balsamic vinegar coulis
– Duck foie gras with red fruit chutney
MAIN COURSE:
Choice of fish, chicken (leg and thigh) or beef steak (+7 Euro)
DESSERT PLATE:
On the picture, from left to right:
– Glass of strawberry tartare and fromage blanc
– Lemon meringue shortbread with apricot coulis
– Chocolate mousse with a crispy crêpe and pistachio chips
– Light toffee cream with a fizzy chocolate marble
We love it that they gave us a sample of 4 apps and 4 desserts so that we could taste several different things. Everything was good. If I must pick one thing to criticize, I would say that the foie gras was a little bland and not rich enough in flavor. But that’s OK, as the food has already far exceeded my expectations.

Le plus intéressant dans ce restaurant reste clairement son cadre plutôt que sa nourriture. Le restaurant est certes correct mais sans plus. Quant a la balade au bord de la seine, c’est un vrai régal. Le bateau passé par les monuments les plus classiques de Paris (Tour Eiffel, Notre Dame, Grand Palais, Pont Alexandre III …).
Je vous conseille de prendre le service de 21h pour avoir a la fois le couché de soleil et la nuit en été. Et un des gros plus de ce bateau est qu’il est climatisé.

Oulala, comment évaluer la Marina de Paris ?? Autant vous dire, je né suis pas sure d’être à 100% objective mais je vais faire de mon mieux!
Pour que vous sachiez, la Marina vous propose d’avantage une belle croisière et soirée romantique! N’y allez pas pour le repas, vous risqueriez d’être déçus…En revanche, si comme moi, vous avez un amoureux qui né veut que votre bonheur, alors foncez !
Tout est très bien organisé: le chef de bord (je crois que c’est ainsi qu’on le nomme) vous accueille et vous place puis votre serveur pour la soirée vous apporte une coupette de champagne (ou mousseux) bien fraiche !
Une fois que tout le monde est arrivé et installé, la péniche démarre et nous partons pour 1h30 — 2h de croisière!
Niveau menu, presque tout est imposé, sauf le plat, vous avez le choix entre la viande (parmentier de canard pour monsieur) et le poisson (dos de cabillaud pour moi) Le plat était ce qu’il y avait de plus réussi, le cabillaud était cuit comme il faut et accompagné d’un risotto d’asperges assez sympa bien qu’un peu trop salé. Du coup en entrée et pour le dessert, nous avons eu droit à des assortiments (tout près ! si vous voyez ce que je veux dire …).
Mais voilà, quand à 23h la péniche fait une pause devant la Tour Eiffel qui se met à scintiller, que le serveur m’apporte un dessert supplémentaire (soit dit en passant, un croustillant au chocolat très sympa !) et une surprise cachée sous une serviette joliment pliée, je m’attendais à tout sauf à voir mon cher et tendre se mettre à genou devant moi et me demander de l’épouser !!
Au final, une soirée très très romantique et surtout magique pour moi! Je né risqué pas de l’oublier! Au cas où, j’aurai toujours mon avis Unilocal pour une piqure de rappel!
