Our New Year’s Eve dinner was amazing, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was perfect. There is a wonderful and hard working couple who run the place and you feel as if you’ve been welcomed into their home for a meal. I can’t imagine having had as wonderful an evening as we had at Restaurant Moustache anywhere else, and we’ve been in Paris for two weeks and had lots of wonderful meals. It was a truly special New Year’s Eve. I would enthusiastically recommend this resturaunt to anyone.

What a find! We were staying in Montparnasse and found Moustache on Unilocal. The staff is extremely helpful in selecting wine and menu options. The restaurant is small and cozy and very charming. We even took our 9 and 6 year old kids and they loved it. And they spoke perfect English. Perfect end to a perfect day.

Great, great service! Sadly, the food didn’t quite live up to my hopes. Really cute location. Started with the courgette gazpacho and pork terrine, neither of which were remarkable. The 35 € set then had two entrée options: beef rump and chicken. The beef came out extremely undercooked(this is coming from a person, who devoured tartar the day before) and the chicken dish was a basic stir-fry. I don’t want to discount the favors, and I know fusion is kind of new in mainstream restaurants, but the execution was just off, especially for the beef – cheap cuts have to be well-prepared! The hoecake fritters served with the beef were good. The panna cotta and rhubarb desert was a winner with meringue crumbles. Fresh oranges and sorbet were ok. The waiter was really the gem of this restaurant and left such a good impression that we would go back to give the food a second chance to catch up with him.

This is a great restaurant. Only slightly off the beaten path but not hard to find in the Montparnasse district. We had a delicious meal which was expertly prepared and served by a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic staff. We each ordered from the prix fixe menu. Starting with a refreshing gazpacho garnished with pine nuts, diced squash, and a hint of cardamom. For our main course my hubby ordered the beef and polenta. The beef was savory and tender whilst the polenta was moist with a slightly crunchy crust cleverly plated so as to be approachable and easy to eat(I personally detest the practice of stacking everything in the middle of the plate then having to deconstruct food). I had the Thai style chicken with rice and snow peas. The flavors blended perfectly, citrus but with a smooth and light creamy sauce. It reminded me of Pad Tai but with rice instead of noodles. Finally, we finished with dessert. His panacotta was really tasty and not overpoweringly sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed the orange slices in which were accompanied by a pear sorbet. Our meal was paired with a nice bottle of Domaine Abotia which is a nice blend of white wines from the Irouleguy region of France. The staff are really outstanding. Our servers chatted us up and we ended up having a lively conversation and a drink with them after dinner which was a treat in and of itself!

I absolutely LOVED this place! After an unsuccessful Friday night of trying to find one of the quaint restaurants to take me as a walk-in(and ending up at one of the late service cafes with not so good food), I made a reservation online for this place and am very please with my entire experience. The restaurant immediately confirmed my reservation. When I arrived, I was greeted by the waiter/host and wife of the owner/head chef. Very friendly people who spoke English very well. I was seated at a cute little table by the window. The ambience is very warm and pleasing. The place probably seats about 30 people max. There was a limited selection on the menu, but everything sounded delicious. I ordered the escargot as an appetizer and the chateaubriand as my main entrée… both were very delicious. The beef is served on the medium rare side, which I generally would never do but I’m in France and I didn’t want to mess with the chef’s preparation in any way. I was not disappointed. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I was glad to hear that there are slight changes to the menu weekly and am looking forward to what is added for next week, as I definitely plan on returning here before my trip is over.

This is a hidden neighborhood gem! Small restaurant where wait staff pays close attention to every detail. Nice menu options. I ordered the beef sashimi. It was so tender & juicy! My daughter ordered the chateaubriand. It was cooked to perfection. We had rice & vegetable as side dishes that were tasty! Dessert is a must here. The Panna cotta is amazing! I was in pure joy with each bite! A little pricy than most restaurants but worth every euro!

My grandson and I enjoyed an excellent meal here. Cod dish… Asian fusion was excellent and perfectly cooked. Grandson had filet and super good fries. Duck terrine for an appetizer. Tasty. Service friendly and efficient. I let them pick my wine. White burgundy… very good. Small pour by American standards. Ambiance is cozy and inviting. Highly recommended.

A fantastic little out of the way restaurant. A very cosy atmosphere. It sports a French-Asian fusion style menu which definitely hits the spot. This is a must every visit to Paris and it should be yours too. The staff are great as well, very attentive.

We came to Mustache for dinner last night and this place has the best steak I’ve ever had in my entire life! It was cooked to rare perfection and I really didn’t even have to chew, it was that tender! This restaurant consists of the usual French menu(steaks, fish, tartare, etc.) but with an Asian flare. How it works is you choose your main entrée and then you get to choose a side(rice, wok veggies, french fries or a salad) which is really great because I like eating my steak with rice. We were all super impressed with the food and left completely satisfied. Aside from the great food menu, my boyfriend was really impressed with the wine list(he’s the kind of guy who smells his wine, gargles it like Listerine and then compares the taste to wet rocks). We drank a few bottles(two whites and a red) from the owner’s wife’s family’s vineyard and it was really good. But what made this restaurant really great was the service. The service was really great. It was the owner and one other waiter working the whole restaurant. They were both very attentive and accommodating, especially since we don’t speak very much French(they spoke English very very well). They took the time to explain the menu to us and also made a great effort to accomodate my food allergy. We were the last table standing at the end of the night and they let us hang out as long as we wanted even though they could’ve closed up for the night. We had such a great experience here I really can’t say enough things. We really wished that we would have found this place earlier because we definitely would have come to this place more than once! I can’t want to come back!

Beautiful for a romantic evening meal. Had my anniversary dinner here by suggestion of our hotel. Food was inventive(for an American), service was impeccable — they verbally translated the entire menu for us which made it much easier for us! Ate cod and beef for the main course, along with sausage; cheese; and a shrimp and calamari salad as appetizers. Indulged in a bottle of champagne where they wouldn’t let you pour a single glass for yourself. They were quite on top of their game service was even though there was one waitress and one food runner. The ambiance in the evening is that of a beautiful romantic bistro — perfect for a special night out. Make reservations — it’s small and is jammed packed!

Can’t believe no one has reviewed this place yet! The lunch prix-fix is very reasonable — today was a large bowl of noodles with mung bean sprouts, veg, fresh herbs, fried spring rolls and whatever protein of your choice(me: shrimp, husband: beef), we then had a fruit salad and coffee. We each had a glass of wine, so the total worked out to be 22E per person. Our waitress was also super lovely, the chef came over a few times to ask how we liked our meal.
