Starbucks

Bien situé sur le boulevard Saint Germain, ce Starbuck est idéal pour le service à emporter. L’endroit est vraiment petit, c’est compliqué de trouver une place et on est un peu tous les uns sur les autres. Né venez surtout pas ici pour raconter vos dernières romances, tous vos voisins seraient au courant! Les toilettes sont également miniscules et en fin de journée, la poubelle déborde… Pour autant, les serveurs sont accueillants et chaleureux et né crachons pas dans la soupe, ça reste un endroit sympa pour bosser, recharger son téléphone et profiter du wifi…

This is the absolute worst Starbucks I have ever seen!
This Starbucks was opened later than most, so I came here several times to study. However, I I have to warn that just about everything that could go wrong at a Starbucks went wrong!
Service: extremely rude. The staff is more interested in teasing each other and gossiping amongst themselves than working. Instead of a «hello» or «how may I help you,» they will acknowldge your presence by huffing and puffing, rolling their eyes, or simply staring without saying a word. When they finally get your order, it will take an unduly long amount of time to make the drink (like 7 minutes for a small orange juice with no one ahead). There will be spills of milk and sugar all over the counter, and the napkin or cream dispensers will be empty.
Cleanliness: atrocious. See my photo for evidence. But believe me, it was not an isolated exerience. The upstairs in particular is disgusting. The trash cans overflow, to the point where patrons have no where to leave there trash but the tables and the floor. Who wants to sit around in that kind of environment! The bathroom is filthy as well.
This Starbucks is sad. Just say away.

Pros: Good staff, free wifi, cool seating area upstairs and outdoor seating, in front of the Odeon Metro.
Cons: Just «one’ dirty toilet, very busy, not nice atmosphere because this coffee shop is quite narrow and I’m in general not a big fan of big coffee chains. Very expensive coffee!
Anyway, if you like Starbucks then choose another one.

This is actually a pretty good find. It’s:
+ On Boulevard St. Germain exactly outside of the Odeon Metro
+ Big with seating outside on the terrace, inside downstairs and inside upstairs
+ Got counters, communal tables, small tables and several over-​stuffed chairs
+ Got free wifi… well I say free, but you are required to give a bunch of personal information — like your mobile number. *See below
+ A great location to get a couple of hours of computer work done
*I have little, and less and less trust of anything that collects personal information. Yes I understand the irony of saying this on Unilocal where my every move is tracked through my computer IP address and I gladly provide a mass of personal information. Still, it’s starting to bother me a lot that everyone is asking for my mobile number — like Starbucks in Paris. Here is their explanation at the sign-​in page:
«In accordance with the anti-​terrorist legislation that came into effect on 23/​01/​2006, we are obliged to record the identities of all users. The data collected in this form will be shared with the National Commission on Data Processing and Liberties and will not be used for commercial purposes or sold to third parties without your prior consent. If you re-​connect using the same computer or PDA, then you will only have to complete this form once a year.»
Next time I’m at this Starbucks using their free (sort of) wifi, I’m going to watch watch Fahrenheit 451 online. Or maybe I’ll Google TrueCrypt and theorize about what really happened to this amazing shareware.

Avec une jolie devanture et un emplacement stratégique, il est toujours utile et agréable d’avoir un starbucks à proximité!
Pour autant, celui-​ci n’est ni le meilleur ni le plus plus beau qu’il m’ait été donné de voir.
Le rez de chaussée est difficilement vivable, de par son étroitesse, surtout en période d’affluence. L’étage n’est pas très étendu ni confortable (comparativement à d’autres franchisés), vous n’avez que quatre fauteuils individuels bien moelleux, et encore, vu qu’ils sont associés à une table super basse, c’est pas génial. Sinon tables, tabourets et chausses classiques.
Pour autant on retrouve la qualité starbucks et j’aime bien m’y poser, mais seulement et seulement si ce n’est pas l’heure de pointe (sinon de toute façon on n’a même pas la moitié d’un tabouret pour s’asseoir…), le top étant le matin bonne heure.

How many things can a Starbucks not have? This one had no milk, no cup sleeves, no soap in the restrooms, etc. Had a chai latte that tasted as if they also had no chai.

Y’en a marre des Starbucks trop petits à Paris dans des quartiers où il y a foule ! Les fauteuils sont trop moelleux pour fluidifier le flux de clients ! Au moins, chez McDo avec l’odeur de frite, on arrive toujours à trouver une place quelque soit l’heure et le lieu.
En plus, au rez-​de-​chaussée de ce Starbucks, c’est minuscule et bruyant. On se prend les courants d’air, et même les marches d’escalier dans la figure lorsqu’on est installé dans le petit coin juste à gauche en rentrant !
Bref, Starbucks est suffisament cher pour qu’on exige un endroit mieux pensé et plus adapté !

Café toujours bondé à la sortie du métro Odéon.
C’est bruyant, petit, cher, moins confortable que les autres Starbucks et sale.
Je conseille donc aux inconditionnels de cette chaîné d’attraper leur gobelet de café brûlant et de fuir avec dans la rue.
Deux étoiles pour le choix et la qualité pas si mauvaise après tout.
Mais que les vrais amoureux du café passent leur chemin !
Dans le quartier ils ont l’embarras du choix et dans un cadre authentiquement parisien.

Clairement le pire Starbucks de Paris, et ce n’est ni une question de propreté ou d’emplacement.
Ici, si vous commandez autre chose qu’un latte ou un café normal, vous pouvez êtes sûrs que vous n’aurez pas ce que vous voulez dans votre gobelet !
Les 4 dernières fois que j’y suis allée j’ai commandé un Pumpkin Spice Latte, un Mocha Blanc, un Mocha et un autre Pumpkin Spice Latte, et je suis convaincue que quand c’est un poil compliqué, les baristas se font pas chier: à chaque fois j’ai eu l’impression d’avoir un latte avec pas assez de café et beaucoup trop d’eau. Le dernier Pumpkin Spice Latte n’avait même pas de sirop, de sucre ou de crème fouettée. Quand on paie plus de 5 € son café, c’est pas mal…
L’amabilité est toujours optionnelle et si jamais vous sortez votre carte de fidélité, ils haussent les yeux au ciel. Super.
