OK, who eats pizza in France… lots of people I guess. There was a surprising selection of kinds and the two we selected were pretty good. The only problem was a bit of crowding(from overheard conversations, mostly Americans from the Marriott almost next door.) and significant burning on the bottom of the pizza. I suspect they overheated the oven to deal with the number of customers.

What more can you say when the chef makes a pizza for you that looks like this? The staff at this restaurant is always sweet, kind, and incredibly nice! The pizza is great also. The chèvre et miel pizza is my favorite!(I order it every time… I don’t even need to see the menu!) Also, try the molten chocolate cake! How do you say«Yum» in French?!

Convenient if you are staying at the Marriott. Pizza was ok, nothing to make a special trip for. Wide ranging and varied menu. Had an English translation. Waiter spoke very little English. Each had a salad and pizza. Plenty of food; probably should have split a pizza. Wife’s ordered a green salad; got just what you would expect. I ordered a salad with chèvre, bacon and croutons; got a salad with tuna, beets, and a bunch of other veggies. Tasted fine, but not what I though I was getting. Also too much oil for the dressing. Pizzas were good, but very plain. Wife ordered a margarita pizza which was just an American cheese pizza. Deserts were very good. I had molten chocolate cake. Fair price overall, but underwhelming in the end.

Villa Saint Jacques is located right next to the Marriott and it was very convenient because I didn’t wanna walk in such a cold weather. There were a couple other Italian places in the same corner but I picked here according to Unilocal. All the server speak English and the menu is in English as well, which is a huge plus. I ordered a pizza because everyone on Unilocal mentioned it. It was a good size(you can share with someone and order something else, or just for yourself as an entrée). I almost finished the whole thing leaving the crust. I actually thing it is the perfect size for a male. I think this place is a good option when you are not so much a French food person and the price is fairly reasonable considering it is Paris.

The pizza here is amazing! We ordered a five cheese — very rich but so worth every bite — and a bacon, onion and olive that was equally delicious. Although the pizzas are for one person, I think they easily satisfy two especially if you have a salad. An easy walk from the Marriott rive gauche but be careful this restaurant is tucked in next to a larger restaurant which you will see first. Wood-fired!

This is the best meal I’ve had all week here in Paris. Meals are truly homemade. Everything was fresh and very reasonably priced.

Love this place. Right next to the Marriott Hotel, servers all speak English. Pizza is amazing, veal and seafood pastas are excellent. And prices are excellent.

This place hit the spot! It’s very quick, the prices are on point, and they make the classics(pizza with ham and egg and spaghetti bolognese) to perfection! The complimentary olives and caramel chews were great, especially the olives. The enclosed terrace is very nice. In the words of borat, «verrr nice!»

The pizza was quite good, with mushrooms and ham. With a very large green salad, there was plenty of food for two. Very reasonably priced. An excellent option when staying at the Marriott just down the street(@ only 4 Euros,) and you don’t want to go very far for a simple, quality meal. Service was both efficient and friendly.

My buddy and I stumbled on this place after checking into our nearby Hotel(the Marriott Rive Gauche)…I must say that the quality of the pizza exceeded our expectations. It was our first meal on a 5 day Paris trip and this was a good start. The place is tiny and a little awkward when you enter(we didn’t know to sit down or wait)…but if you happen to be in this area, you should definitely try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Love their pizza! They are prepared in a traditional pizza oven and are all very tasty. They have a nice choice of recipes; my favorites are the Calzone and Napolitaine(you gotta love anchovies though). Prices are absolutely fair considering the location. It’s a simple restaurant but it’s always a pleasure going there. Service is friendly if you are friendly(this is Paris after all) and has been at times SUPER friendly, if you are SUPER friendly too(this is Paris after all). The guys are really great, especially if you catch them on a good day or if you’re able to make them forget about a crappy day.

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Thin crust light tomato sauce and lots of cheese. I ordered the Isabella. If you are craving pizza come here. We took our pizza to go and it took less than ten minutes. If you are staying at the Marriott Rive Gauche, eat here. I will be eating here again tomorrow.

My husband and I were in Paris for 2 nights before we headed to Switzerland. We ate at La Villa Saint Jacques our second night. This quaint Italian restaurant was a 5 minute walk from our hotel(Paris Marriott Rive Gauche). The restaurant was cute walking in. There were windows from top to bottom. As they say, it’s always good to speak some French while you are in France to show respect to the locals. At least they will be more kind to you if they see that you’ve tried. I greeted the man and told him there would be two for dinner. Of course he answered me in English which he was able to speak fluently. I was born and raised in Canada and took French growing up, but haven’t used it in a VERY long time! But I’m glad I got some practice while we were in Paris. So we are in Paris and in an Italian restaurant… what to order??? I skimmed their menu and couldn’t help but see how vast their pizza menu was. I ordered a classic Margherita Pizza(just cheese, tomato, basil with a little sauce) and my husband orders one of their specials(I think it was the Roma. I can’t remember). It came with a bunch of different kinds of meat, peppers, eggplant, and an egg in the middle. The crust is thin, but had a nice smoky taste, I thought the sauce and cheese were perfect. My husband on the other hand, had so much stuff on his pizza, it just made the crust soggy. He said the egg was raw in the middle, but we’ve heard that’s how they serve it. So he just ate it… haha. Anyway, for dessert, we shared an ice cream with chocolate and pears. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. The pizza we had here was actually better than pizza we tried in parts of Italy! So great job.
