Worth a visit in remembrance of the brave who gave their lives to a noble cause.

We spent the entire day seeing historic sites in Normandy. We went into bunkers, saw bomb holes, and walked along the cliffs, where barbed wire still exists. It’s hard to truly fathom what kinds of sacrifices were made in this place. Omaha Beach was one of the bloodiest landings on D-Day, and it’s hard to comprehend that not so long ago, thousands of people were giving their lives for a cause in the place you happen to be standing. Throughout a battlefield tour, there isn’t always a ton to «see» — it’s mostly bunkers and plaques commemorating the fallen. But that’s not to take away anything from the experience. The bravery required to run into a mess of enemy fire, just to scale a cliff and face a hardened bunker is almost unbelievable. Well worth the trip.

Il y a confusion, entre le musée, les sites et la plage. Là on parles d’un petit musée parmi tant d’autres. C’est pas le meilleur, il n’y a pas grand chose. Du matériel. Les photos correspondent au cimetière américain situé plus loin.

This is a highly poignant place and very interesting historically. The displays and audio visuals are very well done and its a facinating insight into the second world war and how is shaped our world.
