This restaurant appears to now be called«Creperie Cauquigny», since it’s in the same spot. It has a bunch of D-Day type memorabilia and messages written on the wall by participants, or descendants of participants. The crepes my wife and I had were excellent. The kids, not feeling adventurous on our first day in France, had cheeseburgers. I had bite, and they too were very good. I don’t hesitate to recommend it. It’s walking distance from the church and museum. The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon in mid-June. Service was no problem.

Stumbled on this while on a D-Day tour. It’s a small, unassuming place. Service was very slow; they seemed overwhelmed(not by our tour; it was small too.) The food was fairly good. We shared a fruits de mer galette– a buckwheat crêpe with scallops, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. It was tasty, and big enough for two. It came with a salad with cider vinaigrette; cider seems to be in everything in Normandy(that’s not a complaint.) I also had eggs mayonnaise, just to try them; essentially devilled eggs with a cream sauce. For dessert we had a crêpe with whipped cream; there was supposed to be a lemon but it did not show up. All in all, I don’t think I’d go back if I was in town again, but it wasn’t bad.
