A delicious dinner in atmospheric Uzes with warm and friendly service by Thierry(he’s the«pop» in this literal mom & pop joint). Right after being seated, the owner Thierry saw us struggling with the all-French chalkboard menu, and began patiently explaining every single item to us in English. Things like that make you feel so welcomed. Our food was great– we started with a bacalau salt cod toast spread, followed by what looked like a duck shepard’s pie and roasted spare ribs for myself. Both were excellent, and washed down with a couple lovely and reasonable local wines. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in town and want a comforting home-cooked meal.
