Go for the lamb burger. Im glad I did. The fish is also good. Wash that down with the irish cider(Bulmers(they have on tap(or the long neck). Service could use a bit of work but it’s not aweful. Sat at the bar though so YMMV

Stayed at the Bunratty Manor Hotel across the street and had a phenomenal dinner at J. P Clarke’s Country Pub. You can find a large variety of food there if you aren’t used to the food in Ireland. I tried the Madras Chicken Curry and finished the entire plate. My boyfriend got the lamb burger and said it was one of the best he’s had. If you want to find a great restaurant that has a little bit of everything on the menu for everyone, you’ll find it at J. P. Clarke’s Country Pub.

Super schöné Atmosphäre, ruhig und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet! Große Auswahl an Gerichten! Wir hatten Sirloin-Steak, Burger und einen Wrap, alles sehr schön angerichtet und lecker! Zum Nachtisch noch Eis und Espresso, alles bestens! Dazu noch sehr nettes Personal, was will man mehr! Kann man nur weiter empfehlen!

We were referred here by our b&b inn keeper. She let us know that this is NOT the place if you’re in a rush. My friend and I weren’t so we decided on here for dinner. Both us loved our meal. I think I had curry shrimp or something and a nice pint. The service was just as we were told, on the slow end but we didn’t mind. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and apologetic. The restaurant was hosting a wedding and appeared to be short staffed by it. In either case, just as Trish from Briars Lodge told us, JP Clark’s is a great place unless you’re in a rush, well then you’re screwed.

We stopped in for what we hoped would be a late, but quick lunch on our way to tour the Bunratty castle. This was by far our worst dining experience during our whole holiday in Ireland. Service was beyond slow and barely existent. The servers were oblivious, never checking on us or offering us water refills. Food was bland and my hot sandwich arrived cold and his rice and chicken dish had no flavor. The interior was warm and well appointed, quite nice looking. If only the food and service could be improved. The service was so slow taking nearly 2 hours when all we ordered was 2 basic lunch entrees, we had to hurry through our tour of Bunratty.
