Decent lunch at this place, but you should order what really makes sense. Fish & chips excellent, as was trout. Steak not so much. Beer selection could be a bit broader for a bar.

This is an area of Clifden that I hadn’t explored until today. It’s a charming bar with ample atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and attentive but not overly so, which is nice. It is a converted station house and some of the seating is in a recently added extension. It is where the platform would have been so you can see the old signs for the barbers and pillars.
The food was so delicious. Everything is so fresh and the flavours are creative. I had the goat’s cheese bruschetta with a half roast and we shared a chocolate fudge cake. Fantastic attention to detail. Good coffee and a lovely white wine.
Fantastic and will return again!

This bar is a lovely place to have lunch or a drink in the evening. The bar is actually a renovated Railway Station Platform and it houses many beautiful artifacts from the railway industry as well as other Irish treasures such as antique Guinness advertisements. The staff here is quality as is the food. It has a nice atmosphere and is very comfortable.
