Fingal Library Blanchardstown

A great facility to have on your doorstep, the only problem is that I feel it is sadly underused by the average inhabitant of my area. Maybe things will change now and people will go back to the old ways of borrowing a book rather than buying it and throwing it away :-/​In any case, this library is fantastic, great staff, great for kids, m always something interesting going on and in a great accessible location.

I’ve been a member here for a few years now, but just never thought of writing a review! It’s a fantastic service, and I just wish I had time to read everything they have! The kids love it too, and especially love returning and borrowing their books now that they have computerised the whole affair! They try to ‘fool’ the computer by hiding a small book in the middle of the stack of 10 books — but the clever olé computer always sees it!!! It’s a big library and theres lots going on. The staff are nice and really helpful, my kids usually have a query of some sort, and the staff always try and solve it for them, in a very polite manner! I’ve deducted a star only because the toilets are always in need of attention, and unfortunately with kids someone always needs to go!
