Definitely one of my favourite pubs in Cork. Really nice atmosphere, good music and a fantastic selection of local craft beers. The beer garden is second to none with lovely decorations and plenty of space for large groups. It’s always my preferred location for a birthday or gathering as you can pretty much guarantee there’ll be enough seats for everyone outside. There’s a lovely little cubbyhole in the garden with sofas and armchairs which easily fits 10+ people if you need shelter from the rain or a bit of privacy.

One of Cork’s best pubs, and home to the nicest smoking area in the city too. Their beer garden and excellent selection of beers are a great way to spend a few hours.
There’s a good selection of craft beers, with plenty of guest beers for enthusiasts. There’s also a creepy number of Virgin Mary statues and portraits around the bar. Either that or I was drinking something a lot stronger than I should have been.

Went to Fionnbara’s after running a game jam and brought everyone along. They reserved an area for us out back in their beer garden.
One of the best beer gardens I’ve ever been in. As well as heating, they provide blankets and hot water bottles. There a wee room where you can ask for the fire to be lit, it gets really nice and cosy inside, especially on colder nights.
Great selection of beer as well.
Awesome place to chill out if you are around this area.

Fionnbarras is a fun pub which has managed to retain its cosy charm. While appealing more to the young/alternative crowd, anyone would feel comfortable here. Décor is interesting and always seems to be a topic of conversation! The covered smoking area is a definite highlight with loads of benches where both smokers and non-smokers can socialize together and it never feels too smokey. This is a great place for a pint with friends.
