The Mutton Lane Inn

Fun pub, part of Whiskey Way. Stopped in for a drink and ended up staying for 3 hours. Shane makes a great Irish Coffee and has great whiskey recommendations. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a chill place, with locals.

Really cool Lil pub. The smoking area is at the entrance to the English Market. They have a beautiful mural the length of the wall and lovely flags and lights lighting up the dark lane. Really funky and cool bar.

Really like this bar. They have a decent selection of beers on tap. Atmosphere is very cozy. But please turn down the heat! I almost melted.

Great beer, but that’s it. Just writing this review so people can take note. Perhaps this is more common than I thought, but this place serves drinks, and that’s it… No food. WOW.

Loved this bar from the moment I stepped inside. Loved the candles, stuck on old bottles, love the music, a good mix of rock and alternative! Loved the crowd, the atmosphere. Brilliant!!! Everybody is totally welcomed here and thus you feel soooo great! Absolutely the place to be in Cork, do yourself the favor and have a drink in this awesome pub!

There is no reason on earth not to drink here regularly.
Especially in Winter.
The mood, the music, the stout, the lighting, the mural on the wall outside, the candles.
No reason.

One of my favourite pubs in Cork. It’s great of a night of course but it gets very busy, packed in fact. I prefer to come here on my own in the afternoon with a paper. Have a nice few quiet craft beers and listen to some good music.

I would like to say that this is a nice pub to have a few quite drinks in but I found the ‘background music’ to be a bit loud.
Other than that it is a nice, small, pub where you can have a nice pint of some craft brews or some of the usual crap, heino, Guinness, e.t.c.
It is a dark little pub, and you will be confused when you leave and it is still bright outside but the atmosphere, minus the music, is lovely as are the very friendly staff. Well worth a look in.

A small, yet quaint pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere — the mutton lane is a nice spot if you fancy a relaxing few during the day or night. The candle-​lit atmosphere gives it a bohemian effect and I find it a nice place to take my girlfriend. The pints are the average town prices and outside, you have have a long lane way (the mutton lane) which has a large artistic mural painted on it depicting scenes from Cork (Hurling, English Market etc.) which is nice to look at.
The Toilet is small, but clean and if your a smoker then you will enjoy the smoking area outside. The staff are polite and friendly.
Overall, a good pub and one that I like drinking in. I would definitely recommend it. The only problem with this bar is its small size and I often end up standing as there can be a lack of seating due to the small size and large crowd.

great little bar in the middle of town, no bull here, just good music policy (alt –indie etc) and a good crowd (25+)… dark and candlelit… perfect

I love love love this pub, tucked away down this little lane of Patrick street this is a nice cosy place to catch up with friends. You need to be quick to land a seat here! Good selection of drinks — highly recommend it!

One of my all time favourite haunts in Cork city. Its the place to go to chill with friends and soak up a laid back atmosphere. Its a cosy, intimate pub, which glows from the candle-​lit tables. The only insider pointer i can give is to go early to find a seat!

A small but cosy bar — there’s not many seats, and it’s always busy but that’s part of the charm. Currently it’s the place to be in Cork, lots of late 20s hanging out here. The music is in the background, the beers and drinks are great — especially the Swedish cider — and the people are fun. Love it.

Der Pub liegt zentral an der Haupteinkaufsstrasse zwischen St. Patrick Street und dem English Market nicht weit von Burger King in einer kleinen Gasse. Seine Besitzer sind (inzwischen?) Millionäre. Wenn man abends auf ein Bier einen gemütlichen Pub sucht mit relativ jungem Publikum zwischen 20 und 40 J., Frauen wie Männer und KEIN Fussball schauen will, dann ist dieser Ort 1. Wahl. Wenn nämlich ein Fussballspiel läuft, wird es in den meisten Pubs via Grossleinwand übertragen und die Bude ist voll mit fast nur männlichen Fussballfans. Die Einrichtung ist schummrig-​gemütlich wie ein Wohnzimmer und es gibt jede Menge Biersorten, hier sogar zusätzlich belgische und deutsche, falls einem das Stout nicht zusagt!
Wie in allen Pubs herrscht Rauchverbot, allerdings gibt es immer eine kleine Rauchercommunity in der schmalen Gasse vor dem Pub, wo man auf den Bierfässern improvisiert sitzt.
