A few years back I thought that buffets were the most incredible things in the world. But, once you peer through their shiny msg gloss, you realise that beds of noodles and chow meins actually taste like crap after a plate and a half and you were better off paying half the cash and getting a human-sized portion of food. So in essence, it’s only worth your while going here if you haven’t eaten in about two and a half days.

I’ve been to chanze a few times for an all you can eat buffet style meal. The first time I went I was still in school in Galway, so it has to have been about 7 years ago. I was baffled at the idea you could have as much food as you like for a tenner. I actually kept asking the waitress if it was ok to keep going up, and secretly felt seriously guilty/glutton like while walking up to the self service area. I loved it! It ahs everything you would think of — about 15 dishes in total, including starters and mains. Noodles, beef/chicken/pork dishes, vegetables etc. I’ve always found it really good. Now I think they charge € 15 pp for the buffet + a service charge, which still isn’t bad value
