Dax always delivers — be it tapas in the bar upstairs or in the main restaurant. Staf are very friendly and prices are reasonable. Will be back again and again!

Tried it for the first time last week. Have eaten in Dax (Restaurant) a few times, but this was the first time trying the café bar upstairs. We had booked a table for 4 and met there around 7.30pm on a Friday. it was gently buzzing (there was a party in one room), and we got a high table with stools near the bar.
Nice menu — basically a range of quite fancy tapas. We ate liberally from the menu — going back to the well repeatedly to order and try more stuff. So — we had the prawns, squid, goat’s cheese, olives, duck and more.
All — very very good. Especially the fish (my colleagues were raving about both the prawns and the squid, specifically, while the goat’s cheese came in for plaudits as well). We had wine (nice menu) and tap water, and service was great.
I’d highly recommend it — especially if you like the tapas style of eating, and fancy something a cut above the rest.
