My thing this year was Rooftop Bars and this one is not messing around. At the top of the Fade Street restaurant, this is a great roof top bar which yes, is small but laid out well and has great mix of bench tables and high stool areas. With a place like this, you have a full bar with usual bees, spirits available however this place also has awesome cocktail options. You can order food up here but it’s a limited menu of flatbreads. It’s a sun trap up here! I like the vibe here during the day however as the evening moves in, it does start to become a little more pretentious so for me, it’s a day time place I go to where as I would not tend to choose here on a Friday or Saturday night.

We were in a hotel next door and walked into this Tapas bar our first night in Dublin. The meal we enjoyed was outstanding. My wife and I enjoyed 6 small plates of sole, beef, mushrooms, fries, macaroni, and pasta. The truffle pasta was the highlight of our meal. This is a true 5 star destination restaurant.

I was already a big fan of the restaurant but didn’t know u could come here for just a drink until a friend brought me here recently. As the bar is on the rooftop of fade st it has great views over the beautiful red brick George st market which is one of my favourite buildings in dublin. The space upstairs is much larger then you would think with really big indoor and outdoor sitting area. The cocktails like in the restaurant are amazing — maybe my favourite in Dublin. They have really different cocktails not just the usual and some great craft beers. Of course they are not cheap but that goes without saying and they do a weekly special which is good value. They have a food menu but i didn’t try anything. If the sun is shining you should head here for a dink and a bite to eat

Great little hidden gem. Located on the top floor of Fade Street Social you don’t need to be eating in the restaurant to drink in the bar. The outdoor bar has great views over George’s Street Market. There is Lots of seating both inside and out with two bars. The cocktails are fantastic — possibly the best in Dublin. They have one with coriander and coconut two of my favourite flavours and really unlike anything I have had before. They have a small menu of flatbread pizzas which I haven’t tried tried but look great.

Was up here for the first time the other day and loved it. The gorgeous view of the top of George’s Arcade is like something out of a fairy tale. You absolutely do not feel like you’re in Dublin! It’s amazing how different a perspective can be on an otherwise usual sight! Besides this, it’s comfy seating, chill music, and general good atmosphere up top. The bar wasn’t open when we were here so we had to go downstairs where the queue was massive, which was a bit of a pain, but otherwise, sweet spot, will defo be back, especially on sunny days(that we’re bound to get once the summer comes… ahem.!)

I’ve only been to their winter garden for few drinks with friends and none of us have been there before even if the place is not a novelty in the Dublin scene. I have to say we all loved the interior, classy and cozy at the same time, while stepping up the stairs to the winter garden. We’ve decided to stay al fresco to enjoy the sunlight while sipping at very well presented and tasty cocktails. The atmosphere is perfect for pre-dinner with friends or loved one. just enjoy, sit back and relax.

My wife and I wrapped up our visit to Dublin with dinner at Fade St. It hit the dot after walking all day. We had(in delicousness order) goat cheese logs, Chinese pork belly, Irish sirloin, crispy airbags, and green beans. This was after enjoying our first drinks in their rooftop«winter garden». What a great scene! Finished it off with dessert of Vadim donuts and the baby banoffi

I met my friend the other day and we couldnt decide what to eat. In the end, as we were near Fade St, I asked him had he been here. He hadnt so that decided it for us. It was Tuesday evening but the place was hopping. We got the last two seats beside the expeditor. It was interesting watching him sending all the food out. We were served promptly by a waiter and as they were doing a half price cocktails, that what we ordered. I had an Old Fashioned– fantastic– and my friend had a Long Island Iced tea, which he seemed to enjoy. We chose a few different tapas. The bag of bread was delicious. We tried the prawns, Chips cooked in Beef dripping, Aubergine dip and a couple of other tapas. Everything came out as it was prepared. This would be the only thing I didnt really like as things like the chips came last, and a good while after everything else. I think its the chief drawback with tapas– you are never sure in what order your food is going to come out. We were intrigued by the dessert tapas so we tried the doughnuts with mango dip and the chocolate and raspberry pudding. They were both tasty. We ordered coffees and these were very good too. I enjoyed my visit to Fade St Social. It was interesting to see my friends reaction on his first visit as I had been there before. We both enjoyed the buzz and the food. We did have a couple of servers look after us but we found the service to be both friendly and attentive. The half price cocktails is a great idea. Our bill came to € 75 without a tip. I do feel that its expensive for the style of food served, and that why I give it 4 stars out of 5. However it was enjoyable and I will go back again.

Have had tapas & cocktails here. Tasty and nicely presented. Don’t think it’s as novel as I thought it would be having eaten at ‘Mint’ in Ranelagh back in the day, but we enjoyed it. Little pricey for what it is but then again it is Masterchef McGrath’s spot. Little change from a ton!

Cocktails: one of the best in town. Delicious food, you can choose to eat at the tapas or the restaurant. They also have a bar upstairs with a nice heated smoking area and groovy music. If you’re a fan of whiskey you must try their strumpet city whiskey cocktail. Perfection.

One of the best cocktails I’ve had in my life, an amazing large glass of gooseberry yumminess, not too sweet and frozen gooseberries to top it off. Didn’t get to try the food but hear it’s great! High price but worth it.

I have been here twice and they were very different occasions. The first time, Beoir members were invited to the launch of the craft beer range. They fed and watered us all night for free. The second time was a busy Saturday night on one of the hottest days of the year. Needless to say everyone congregated to the same place, the awesome roof garden or Wintergarden as they call it. I think that’s because of the immensely powerful heaters in the covered seating area. It could be snowing out and it would still be warm up there. I should explain something about the craft beer range, it’s all bottled. At the time of writing this, there is little worth drinking on tap. On Monday and Tuesday they have their € 20 craft beer buckets. This gives you 5 craft beers for € 20 or € 4 each. This can be very good value depending on what you get. You can ether get a random bucket and just go with it, or you can request to exchange some bottles for something else. Or you can just specify exactly what bottles are to be included. Don’t be fooled by the Fade Street Ale, it’s re-badged Caledonia smooth so best avoided unless that’s the sort of bland beer you like.
