I love itt! I can’t say anything against this place other than you’ll leave with a few more grams in your body. Delicious cakes, I had a bite of the banoffee pie and a chai latte with soya milk, very very nice! The place is so quirky and colourful, great atmosphere :) I’ll sooo come back soon to try the pizzas, they looked so tasty.

Brilliant, quirky spot!!! Came here on a Sunday. It was early afternoon and pretty quiet. Just had cheesecake and coffee. I chose the chocolate and vanilla cheesecake. The cheesecake was fantastic! The coffee was ok. Loved all the artwork on the walls particularly the calendar and the clock I could see from my seat. I also loved the mismatch crockery — it’s fab! Great menu and the people at the table beside us were having salads which looked amazing! The service is a little stiff(bordering on rude) which is the reason this wasn’t a five.

This review would have easily secured a 4 or possibly a 5 if the service matched the food. The service was bad, menus thrown into our hands and an overall brash attitude. We asked what cakes they had and he rattled off a list but missed half their selection. In the end I settled on the passion fruit cheesecake which was amongst the best I have had. Really smooth and and a nice sharpness on a nice biscuit base. Coffee was OK and served in a big mug which makes a change. The décor is reminiscent of an Alice in Wonderland, Mad hatter explosion all over the walls. Clutter clearly is king. Its still a nice feeling albeit very odd. Realy a pity about the service as I would have returned but I doubt I would be pushed now.

I stopped by Foam recently for a pre-cinema dinner with a friend. It was fine but nothing particularly exceptional. I had their soup of the day which was cauliflower cheese and while I would never expect it to be exciting it was one of the most tasteless soups I’ve ever had in my life. There was just no taste to it only the texture of pureed cauliflower. My main course was the smoked salmon salad. The salad had a very impressive amount of salmon on it but there was almost no salad underneath. It also was absolutely drowning in a yogurt dressing that tasted great but I could have done just as well with ¼ as much. The ambience of the place is nice and the servers were friendly so it’s probably a great place for a tea or coffee. That said, I would probably skip it if I’m looking for food the next time I’m in the neighbourhood.

The kitschy décor in foam makes it feel like you’ve stepped into a NSW beach house in the 80s. The staff were friendly, even though the café was busy, and the food was delicious(and huge portions — I couldn’t finish it!) Such a lovely place to shelter from the weather on a rainy Saturday :)

There are 1 °F and 2 °F. I like 2nd floor. Cuz 2 °F good atmosphere and make me comfort. Lot of decoration and modem interior. If you like tea more than coffee, you can choice it in the many flavor tea. Sweets is not bad, but some sweets is a little bit too sweet. Stuffs is kindly. There are always many customer.

It’s pretty easy to see that the décor in Foam is very different to anywhere else in Dublin, and I feel it’s worth a visit for that alone. The food can be hit or miss. If you get the cake when it’s fresh, it’s unbelievable, although I have also had it when it’s not so fresh, which is really disappointing. The major drawback however with Foam has always been the staff, which is quite a pity. Since I have been going there the waitresses have always seemed bored, grumpy, and as if speaking to customers in general was really inconvenient and unpleasant for them. It really doesn’t suit the place as you would expect the staff to be bouncy, bubbly and eccentric, just like the café itself! Recently since I’ve been there they seem to have hired some new staff who are friendlier though, which makes all the difference!

Of course … The funky décor was what attracted me here. . There is nothing extra I can say about it that the other reviewers haven’t … Staff were very pleasant … Now a whole star lost for how slow the service was(when they were far from busy at the time) … For starters I ordered chicken and bacon on a piece of bread(croistini) it took 25 minutes until it was served to us. My god it was only a piece of bread and the café was empty …(it was si dry by the way) Then I ordered a salad and himself ordered pasta … which were both delicious. but very rich. but again, took close to a half hour until we were served these … none the less I’ll be back but I’ll just make sure I’m not in a hurry

Foam, as the name suggest, looks like taken out of the wash. There’s such a mix of stuff in here that makes me feel like I’ve been 8, I just want to take out my tea set and sit down with my teddy bear to serve him a tea.

No wonder people compare this place to being dropped into Wonderland — many of the tables feature a porcelain hare keeping you company while you have your tea! Quirky is really the first thing that comes to mind. The place is full of artsy and whimsical decorations making it very charming — you can literally sit and stare at the walls… It is a little hidden and rather unexpected in an otherwise rather dreary corner of Dublin. I cannot say anything about the food(I was very tempted by the delicious looking cakes and will try them next time) but there are not too many places you can get things like Dandelion tea. Definitely a nice place to go if you want to have a cozy cup of tea and something a little different.

This is a 2-star experience because not even the crazy eclectic decoration makes for it. The staff is utterly rude, they take forever to do anything, ignore you and seem to make an effort to look equally bored and annoyed for the fact you’re there, giving them your business. We went for tea, coffee and cakes. Everything was ok-ish but terribly overpriced. And it took them 15mins to serve this! To make matters worse, the tables are covered in a plastic tablecloth that looks and feels greasy and dirty. The fact that they left cups and plates sitting in the tables for ages long after the customers had left didn’t reassure me much. Visually it’s an interesting place. And that’s it, it works mostly as a pretty trap and it doesn’t have much to back it up. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

Crazy and rather tacky decoration,(but kids love it — especially Xmas tree in March — yeah) and expensive food. Staff not very friendly either. It’s great to just go there once for an a colour experience(I like colours very much), but will not return.

Tell me: How can you not love this place? Is it the decoration? Is it the cakes? Yeah, I think so. It feels like I’m inside Alice Wonderland haha So, yeah, that is one of my preferred places for a coffee & chat these days. The coffee is good, the have enough space for you and the one million things hanging on their walls. They also have seats upstairs and you should go up there even to have just a look, it is super cool.

Still loving this place! Really good hearty food and I have to say I’ve never experienced anything negative re. the service like some folk seem to have. I wanted to update my review as they now also accept cards! Wooo hoooo. I can spend even more whilst pretending I’m not spending anything!!!

Lovely little café hidden in the heart of dublin city. Go here often for food and have never been disappointed, the seafood chowder is delicious and their omelettes are great, personally I love their walnut bread! The staff are very helpful and friendly, I always feel welcome! The place is decorated so uniquely, so much to look at while you eat, also they have loads of couches so you’re eating in comfort.

I don’t know how I never came here before, but it’s locates in kind of side street so it’s quite easy to miss. First of all the interior is really quirky and colorful with an unusual décor, but it it gives a nice feel to the place. There’s plenty of seats and a couch or two as well, so it feels kinda homely. The food was really nice and not too expensive either, with most things under 13 euro. They also have quite a variety: soup, chowder, salads, omelettes, pizza, pasta, sandwiches and of course coffee, tea and desserts. I ordered a smoked salmon salad which was pretty filling and quite tasty. I might try one of the omelettes next time! The service was pretty ok, the girl that was serving me was really friendly. Overall no complaints here really, the only thing is that I don’t like walking down that street where it’s located.

This place is magic! From the entrance to the upper floor everything is a mess of different styles, decors and lamps, yes LAMPS! I am a lover of the unexpected and this place is one of my favorite in Dublin. Absolutely go there if you are visiting temple bar and Ha’penny brigde and you’ll not regret it! They have this awesome green ice tea, I don’t remember the name now(obviously!), in a cute bottle and the cakes are shamazing! I’ve never had a bigger piece of cake, try the chocolate one, it’s divine!, and still I wasn’t guilty about it: D Really cool place to bring your friends, family and coworkers! Just pick a sofa in the upper floor and enjoy the decors and try to count the lamps: P

I popped around to the Foam with my Mom, I was SO overwhelmed with all the CAMPNESS obviously in the positive. We were greeted with such lovely warm welcome. We were offered the Couch or the Table. As we were eating, we chose the table. My mother ordered the Soup of the Day likewise myself, which was Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Red Lentil Soup. She had a salmon Omelette for the main, and I had the Spanish Tortilla. They both were exquisite. The whole place was such an experience. I was first introduced back at the Day after Pride Day: The Ceremony of Love and Remembrance. A friend of mine brought me to the café of which at the time was closed, so we couldn’t go in. However I said I’d bring my mother along. Well I never. It was MOST nondenominational. Like there was Buddhism, Catholicisms. There was a feeling of relaxation ambiance. Cute guys. haahhaha.

I’ve always wanted to go to Foam. Not sure why it took so long-probably that I’m not often in that part of town(yep, South-sider) and if I am, it’s not for long. However, on the day in question, I was with a friend and fancied a light snack, so we went in. Everything that they say about the cool décor(apparently the owner picks stuff up on his travels around the world) is true. Upstairs, there are really comfortable sofas and armchairs, and downstairs there are proper dining places. I preferred the upstairs. We weren’t allowed to go there for just a drink, so ended up having soup for the honour. The French Onion soup was very yummy and filling, served with their homemade bread. Very enjoyable and reasonably priced(€ 5). I’d have it again. But only if I was in that part of town. The staff were nice enough, though not terribly friendly.
