Yummers — Had a really nice chicken Caesar salad from here today. Very tasty — the chicken had a pepper seasoning on it and was really nice moist white chicken. The soups all looked and smelled really good but I didn’t have time for one. The staff were super friendly and the décor is really nice. I will definitely be back for take away or to sit in.

Walked in for a snack but the smell put me off so I had to run for the door. I have no idea what the food may taste like but I do like being able to breathe while eating. Sorry :(

Stumbled into this bright cheery café looking for something a little better than the € 1.99 Centra chicken fillet roll and I wasn’t disappointed. I opted for the chicken bang bang panini(roast chicken, chili, rocket and something else) which was yummilicious. The bread was amazing. Prices were good too. It was € 4.99 but I also availed of the 10% student discount. Will try the noodles next time, the pictures on Unilocal look great! They lost a star due to the slightly haphazard waiting process while your panini gets toasted.

Delicious sarnies, tasty noodles and friendly staff in a convenient location– what’s not to like? Surprised to see a few negative reviews here as I’ve never had any issue with this place. Their coffee isn’t the best, but everything else works well in my eyes. All sandwiches are half-price after 5pm too, which is excellent for the post-work pre-dinner munchies(there’s nothing like a guilty pre-dinner sarnie, believe me).

Been to Grüb a couple of times by now so thought I finally should put down my review for this newish sandwich place on South George Street. Another little star has risen on the Dublin Coeliac friendly heaven ;) as its not easy but getting better I am always thrilled to discover new places who take my and other poor souls into consideration. Grüb found a spot in my heart. They are able to pretty much all sandwiches GF and even better you don’t have to go for the pre packed ones even they look good its just this little extra freshness ;) I am pretty much hooked on the vegetarian Goat cheese one with sun dried tomatoes, spinach and other goodies and all served on a crispy GF Bagel — Lunch sorted! Moreover they offer the David Rio Chai Tea selection which I really like and barely seen in Dublin before. Only reason I don’t give them 5 stars they are closed on Sundays and the other odd Sunday morning I wish I had a Grüb to get me through work ;) but hey they deserve their day of rest …

Tried Grub again, this time with a couple of friends early in the evening. One just ordered a coffee, and the rest of us ordered the sweet chilli chicken thing. Although the service was polite and friendly, and the price was ok, the food was meh. It was bland, watery, and unattractively served in polystyrene trays. The coffee was just ok. Could do better!

Bright, colourful and clean. Grüb is perfect for busy people. A great selection of sandwiches, salads and hot noodles

I was wrong, so wrong! Craving noodles, I decided to pop in post 3pm to check out Grub’s offering. Well. Well well WELL. It was presented in a plastic container(see pic) so I wasn’t very optimistic. However, once I started eating, I realised how wrong I had been. Fresh, fresh, fresh, everything that was promised by Grub was sitting there in a delicious little tray of yumminess. At the end of the meal, I even tipped the remaining sauce into my mouth so as not to waste a drop. No excessive salt, no MSG, no grease. Just tasty, fresh nutritious food. Half an hour later I keep smacking my lips and going mmm, and then wondering why I’m not getting that typical awful after-taste. Oh, my noodles. Well done, Grub.

Had the chicken chowder again and it was a pile of bland, unseasoned goo, not even to the standard of a ready-made soup you’d buy in Tesco. Very disappointing. Not even a sad piece of bread included in the price. I considered getting a sandwich but they were too pricey for my taste. I’d pay close to 5 quid if they made it fresh. I’ve seen this many times before: new place grabs you with half-descent food and then stop making any effort. Will not go back.
