Absolutely super selection of language-learning books and other aids. I bought Le Petit Prince here lately and hated it but it was nice to be able to read it in the original French! It’s so organised I get nervous about my very presence making the place untidy but the staff are very helpful and efficient. There’s also some nice stationery if you’re stuck, so you need never go into class without your notebook and pen.

There’s a large print edition of «Le Petit Chaperon Rouge» here that brought me right back to my third grade(2nd class?) French lessons. Actually, if I’d had access to a shop like this back in the late 80s there’s a good chance I’d parlais Francais with a little more talent today. International Books is the first and last place for any reference material, work books and class supplies for language learners. Sporting an incredible stock that puts the other book shops in town to serious shame, the selection here is fabulous for learners at all levels. There’s also a selection of novels and other trade print in multiple languages(even English) that makes this a fine stop for multi-lingual shoppers on the hunt for a good read as well. The shop is tidy and quiet with the sections well maintained –so crucial in any book store but a huge bonus when you’re only able to read a few of the titles.

International Books is where you are sent if you study a language at one of the Colleges in Dublin. They do have a huge variety of books to chose from, from basic language books and packs if you want to learn a new language to novels in foreign languages, however these are mostly classics which would usually be read at College level. As David said, they will order books in for you as well if they don’t have what you’re looking for. The staff are very helpful but for me at least this is not necessarily a shop in which to just browse around for a book you might want to read in another language.

If you haven’t guessed already… these guys are specialists in International Books. They have a small modest store with a wide variety of books in all the modern languages you can think of. You will find both academic and literary books. Because this store is the supplier for many language schools and colleges in Dublin the huge stacks of books can seem a little overwhelming at first but a second look should reveal that most of the books are simply just multiples of the same title. The staff are also international, so if you are simply looking for a novel in your own language and have trouble with English you may be able to ask in your native tongue. Prices are way down compare to other stores in Dublin. it seems they sell European books at European prices. which is nice! They will also order in books for you if you have a more specific request. And it is worth having a look at their new website to see if they have a title in stock. Does exactly what it says on the tin… no funny business!
