Almost as good as being in Italy — I love this whole chain of restaurants but this one is my favourite. It’s so cozy and yet can fit really big groups. The food is fantastic with the most fantastic Italian ingredients. The bruschetta is probably the best I’ve ever had — the tomatoes are so full of flavour. I also love the meats & cheese that they serve — always top quality. The second thing I love is the staff. They all seem to be Italian and are full of enthusiasm and great sense of humour. It really makes it feel like a little piece of Italy. They do great hampers and all sorts of Italian food and drink that you can bring home The outdoor seating is lovely if only the weather was good and the traffic less busy. It is not too expensive and they do some very good specials The bruschetta is so filling that is would do for lunch even on its own

It might be pricey but the food and the ambient deserve the prices you pay. Superb real italian food matched with italuan wines. Gluten free alternatives and lits of regional italian products. The cassata ice cream must be tried!

Good quality authentic Italian food at reasonable prices. The food came quick, and they were able to squeeze us in quickly even without reservations on a Saturday night. We were lucky and a little bit early — it’s best to get reservations.

Walked by this joint a few days ago, something about the bruschetta being delivered to an outside diner lured me in a post-dated way. Possibly the simplicity of its’ presentation, or the fact the restaurant takes up half the street right? There is a store attached with prescious treats inside. I always think it is strange for an Italian establishment not to have pizza on their menu. Dunne and Crezcenzi’s raison d’être is clearly connected to a deep appreciation of antipasti however. Why play to the stereotyoe when you can play to your strengths? The benefit of the no pizza I imagine particularly in summer, is that the place must be one of few Italian restaurants to offer a welcome break from the heat. No pizza, no stone-baked oven. Great ambiance and even greater mushroom and truffle ravioli. Not too creamy. The tonnelli capresante ordered by my clever good-self was delicious. Had a good kick, and the scallops had their roes attached. Certainly a generous portion. Although a tiny bit tough, I am a scallop-loving fiend so I couldn’t help but notice. The house white was crisp and great value! Last but not least it is worth mentioning the knowledgable and friendly staff. Viva Italia e ciao regazzi :-)

The best Italian in Dublin. Incredible high standards. The freshest produce. Great staples like lasagne and tiramisu like you’ve never had before. Excellent service And a fine selection of wine. Porcini and truffle oil ravioli is spectacular,

It might be pricy but the food is totally worth it. We went in for a nice dinner and I had a lasagna that came out so hot it was a while before I could eat it and when I did it was delicious. It’s nice to find an Italian restaurant In Dublin that can do a good lasagna. My girlfriend had some ravioli with a cream sauce that was also fantastic. The service was excellent and even though the restaurant was loud due to the people talking and the wine I chose was terrible I don’t blame them for that. I just won’t pick that wine again. This was my second visit to the place and I will certainly be back for a third.

It’s hard to find things not to love about this city centre treasure. The extensive wine menu is fab, much of which is available by the glass. The food is great whether it be antipasti, pasta or entrées, and given the wine bar style, it’s very relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are reasonable enough and there’s a nice sense of bustle about the place. I’m not sure what more to say than that it’s a definite addition to the city’s eateries and the perfect place to catch up with friends over a few glasses glasses of good wine and nibbles or more.

We’ve returned here so many times, and each time the food has been exceptional. Phenomenal pastas, lovely steaks, hearty salads, great wine list. I last had the risotto with black truffle, cream of butternut squash, and asparagus — so good.

We had a nice lunch here in Dublin. The minestrone with pasta was very tasty and the bruschetta was much better than others I’ve had… The olive oil was delicious.

The only good thing about this restaurant was the food and as far as Italian goes, I’ve had better. We had a salami platter and a vegetable platter to start. the bread was stale and there was only 3 small pieces given with each platter. the vegetables were bland and tasteless. The main was decent, a spaghetti with a tomato sauce with wild duck in it. The waiter was rude and arrogant, unhelpful and impatient as if we were inconveniencing him by simply being there. The table was far far too small, with both plates on the table for the main, we had to move all our glasses and the candle to another to simply have enough room for the plates. Overall, I was very disappointed, a poor experience especially given the cost. Don’t waste your time here.

A very friendly, legit Italian place serving very good homemade food. Not quite fine dining but not casual dining either. It’s an upscale place with a nice range of homemade pastas. I started with a very nice antipasti which really should be shared. For my main I had the special tagliatelle with mussels and saffron. Excellent! To top it off, tiramisu… fantastic. The service was super friendly and accommodating even though they were pack and I didn’t have a reservation. Why not 5 stars? 5 is reserved for best of best. But this was a perfect experience, and I would return again anytime!

This is a real gem of a restaurant in Dublin. The cheese plate was excellent. The Chianti was very smooth and delicious. We also had the ravioli and the stuffed chicken breast, both of which were great. When the meal was over, we pressed our luck and ordered the grappa. Our aloof server recommended one and we did the«cheers!» then shoot it thing. Imagine taking a shot of kerosene flavored with garbage. Yikes! Just so no to the grappa, but yes to everything else!

At D&C enjoy a fine meal surrounded by pasta-stacked and wine-filled shelves and/or head next door to sample eats /taste wine and take your Italian goodies home! Enjoyed this spot over and again but most recently for a fabulous and hearty panini(at only seven euro) for lunch. About twelve of us took over a dining space for a weekday luncheon so this spot is great for groups during the week, especially if it’s an off-peak time slot! Also, love grabbing a table for one — any time — and simply enjoying a glass of wine. There seems to be some confusion about the ‘market’ next door. Yes, there is another section next to the main establishment that some have referred to as a ‘deli’. It offers wine tasting and fine and authentic italian-made items for purchase to go and it is indeed a bit of a delicatessen as well. Take a peek before or after your meal in the main dining space — the market is worth browsing! Ciao!

This is a very nice spot for dinner with a cozy atmosphere and an extensive wine list. This was our first dinner in Dublin on Sunday night. It was recommended by our friend who lives nearby. The Service was great and the food was freshly prepared. We started with the crostini and bruschetta which were light and flavorful. We also ordered a salad, the seafood ravioli special, along with the wild boar pasta. To clarify, this not a deli as one other reviewer noted. It is a proper sit-down restaurant. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

I loved the atmosphere of this place right from the beginning, the dining room is lined with wine racks, the tables are small with simple decorations, essentially everything you would expect from a small Italian restaurant! ;-) We were a group of 5, but rapidly served, even though the restaurant was pretty packed, especially for a Monday. The food was good, not mind blowingly so, but among the best Italian I have come across in Dublin. Personally I could have dine with some stronger flavours. We shared a starter of bruschetta, then I had the Risotto with mushrooms followed by Tiramisu. The highlight for me must have been the Tiramisu, which was delicious, and just the right size for a dessert, since it didn’t leave me stuffed. I’d definitely come back, especially for that cosy Italian place feeling, with a homely, big-family-style level of conversation going on around you. If you combine that with good friends it’s great, top notch food would elevate it to awesome, but great is good for me, so it’s my go to Italian for the moment.

One of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Dublin. I went first to their sister restaurant in Sandymount with an Italian colleague years back(he swore it was the finest Italian in Ireland) and then have been to this location in town countless times since. Be sure to get the bruschetta or the larger bruschetta extreme… either way you’re getting some of the freshest most flavourful tomatoes. I need to figure out where they source their tomatoes as they are simply amazing. Portions are large and reasonably priced for the quality. Although the menu is quite extensive, I always get the same thing… ie I start out with some bruschetta and then go for the steak filet. My dining companions usually opt for the homemade pasta dishes. The environment is very casual… small candlelit tables flanked by bookcases of wine. Despite a few too many tables(it’s very crowded), Dunne & Crescenzi is a great place for a meal and by far your best option for Italian in Dublin.

When I first ate here, I absolutely loved it. Since, they’ve gotten rid of my favourite menu item which is incredibly disappointing. The service has always seemed pretty slow; it takes a long time to get food. On the plus side, the food is cooked fresh and they have an amazing wine selection. Overall though, I don’t think I’ll be back. It’s overcrowded all the time, incredibly loud for what appears is supposed to be a fairly intimate restaurant and overpriced.
