The bartenders were cool. The bar was very unoriginal. The drinks were uninspiring. There were sports on during the day which is always a bonus. The crowd thickened at night with tourists for the live show. A good spot to grab a drink and recharge. Great location on the outer edge of the touristy bend of Temple Bar. It was OK.

This place is your definite«dinner and a show» restaurant. They offer a 3 course meal(with your choice of each course from a set menu) for 29.95 Euro. The food was PRETTY good… but I wasn’t raving about it. We ordered the chicken & vegetables and the bangers & mash… eh. Now about that show… The first half was a band that played traditional Irish music and the second half was a group of 4 young kids that performed the Irish jig(that’s what pulls the tourists almost immediately – worked on us). The band was somewhat humorous and gave us a few laughs but their music was not all that and a bag of chips. Plus, it felt like they played FOREVER. We definitely got antsy. The dancers were impressive though. The young boy who performed was pretty much dancing circles around the other three girls. The part that we didn’t enjoy about this show was that if you were tired or for some reason needed to leave before the oh-so-long 3 hour show ended, it was a big hassle. The servers don’t bring the check until everything is done and over… and it’s far too loud to even flag them down and ask for the bill. You’re pretty much locked in the entire time… and if the band sees you getting up to leave early, YOUGETCALLEDOUTONIT. Yeah, they announce it over the microphone(I saw this go down) and draw all sorts of attention to you… not my cup o’ tea. This might be good for some, but there are definitely more exciting/entertaining touristy things to do in Dublin. Skip this.

Entertaining, good prices, and worth the experience. The band was great, I requested a song(7 drunken nights) and it was sung in a fun way. The jigs were great too. Touristy… a bit, but if your like me and talk to everyone, it makes it all even the better. Relax, after all, your on holidays. I made reservations, just in case, couple of hours before. Keep your eye on the picture next to the stage. And enjoy life for the night.

Good food for a decent price. Did the 3 course dinner for € 29.95 and it was tasty. Got the goat cheese salad to start, the fish and chips for mains and the chocolate mouse for desert. For entertainment: The band was great, but I’ve seen better Irish step-dancers back in the states.

After a disappointing start to a day out in Dublin, Legends brought us right back to happy! This place is great fun whether you’re a tourist looking for traditional Irish stuff or Irish just looking for a laugh. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, you can have just drinks, sandwiches up until about 6pm or a fine roast dinner in the evenings while you watch the band and the Irish Dancers. The band play standard trad music and take requests and the dancers are very talented indeed! All in all this place is fun and very entertaining whatever your drinking/eating needs! Get there early if you want a table though. it fills up most nights!

HEARMENOW… THISIS A TOURISTYPLACE! But so are Disneyland, the red light district in Amsterdam(um, or so I’ve…heard), and the small town I grew up in on the California Coast. So I’m ok with touristy. AND, given the number of people planning to come visit us while we live here who AREN’T interested in going to Temple Bar to party all night and listen to 80’s music, I’m glad to have a place that I can bring them for a good meal(I highly recommend the salmon), authentic music(the micrphone stands have beer holders… with beer!!) and the dancers are energetic enough to decide that a half-hour show is plenty. I would like to see the 29.95 price tag include a drink, but the prices weren’t bad, and the 3-course dinner was a fair enough value. Above all, I like the energy of the place. The servers were friendly, the musicians fun, and the hen party that showed up in bright pink wigs showed that locals do hang out here and dance on the stage… before the manager grabs them at least… Bottom Line: if you’re going to storm the stage, do it when’s it’s the muscal act, not the dancing…

Okay — so it’s touristy — I am a tourist! It’s not cheap — 23 euro each — but there are lots of other places nearby serving more expensive food with much less atmosphere and no live entertainment. I tried not to do it but I ended up with bangers and mash for my first Irish dinner. It was very good but not as good as the salad with fresh goat cheese that came first. Now that was GREAT — fresh cheese made from Burren goats. Where else can you find that? Desert was just okay. The band was very good with a visiting Irish pipes player. I also thought the dancing was very good but even I could see a missed foot move here and there. It was still fun and the(lady) dancers were beautiful and very talented. The fellow was a good dancer I guess but not near as pretty! A two hour show with traditional music, singing, and dancing included in a fair priced meal. My only complaint was the table of Spanish(and yes I know the difference in Spanish and other Spanish speaking people) tourists that never shut up — talking loudly to each other even when a slow song was being performed — including Danny Boy. Tourists — PLEASE — no jabbering when Danny Boy is playing.

You can order dinner and see a show with one hour of musicians, another hour of dancing. You can also sit in the back and drink. It’s touristy, but pretty good, and more Irish than a lot of the pubs on Temple Bar which seem to cater to fans of American music. Late they move the musicians off the stage and have them in the bar area. Met some Scots there and had a great time.

This is THE place to bring your visitors when they come to Ireland. Or if you’re the visitor then be sure to call in here. It’s delightfully touristy it’s true, but they are also intensely aware of this, and play to their strengths. If you’re looking for a quick intro to Irish music and dancing, here’s a good place to start. The band is good, when they play — in typical Irish fashion they are more than willing to keep on(and on and on and on) talking, when in reality they should play a wee bit more. If you want some fun though, get them to do a shout-out to an unsuspecting friend and watch them squirm. The dancers are surprisingly good actually, although Michael Flatley and Jean Butler they most certainly are not. Some of the Riverdance-esque moves don’t quite come off, and the attempted emulation of ‘modern’ Irish dance isn’t quite of the calibre of some others. Nevertheless, it is highly entertaining and genuinely tries to get the crowd involved. Finally, special mention has to go to one of the biggest draws of the place… the fact that, if you’re either lucky or farsighted enough to book your place in advance, then you can get a table with its own beer tap and pour your own pints. How freaking cool is that?(and yes, I am extremely easily entertained, and proud of it!) Top of my list for places to bring people without a doubt.
