Delicious sausage rolls with a nice assortment of salads! Not a lot of options on a Saturday afternoon, but was happy with what I picked! Nice little patio. Delicious coffee!

Picked up a cranberry savage roll and one of the quiches for an airport snack and was very pleased. The savage roll was for me and I found it quite tasty. The sausage had a nice flavor and the cranberries complemented it without being too overpoweringly sweet. The quiche was for my sister and was feta and sundried tomato I believe. She really enjoyed it, too.

Great place for cakes and coffees. They are famous for their sausage rolls, so make sure to grab one to go before you leave this place it will come in handy later whether you have to fight of hunger or make new friends.

Enjoyed a lunch here on a Sunday. The place is small, but upstairs is really cute. We had a good coffee and tea. We ate the toasted focaccia’s and they were really nice. They could not remove the tomato, becaise arrive at prepared. Seems fairly easy to remove 4 slices if tomato before toastibg it, but had to remove them myself once served. Luckily staff was quick and friendly and taste of the food was good! Would like to come back and enjoy the toasted sandwiches during the weekdays.

I had the tastiest broccoli salad. I even got more for take away for later. The staff were very nice. Coffee was nice. I’d really recommend this place for lunch,

Lolly & Cooks have a great breakfast, lunch and supper menu which changes quite often but I find that the food is always tasty and filling. It’s open pretty late on weekdays from Mon-Thurs and has a really nice seating area upstairs and outside, so I’ve come here for coffee and to study on a few occasions in the evening. However it’s quite small and cramped inside even upstairs. Lunch time around 1pm on weekdays are jam packed with a massive queue from all the people that work around here as it is in the middle of multiple big company buildings, but weekends and early or late afternoon are more quiet. The coffee is pretty nice, and for dinner once I had a Dijon salmon dish with 2 salads which was really tasty. I’ve also tried their Kale vegetable juice which might not be for everyone as it’s pretty strong but it gives you a real kick! Also, it’s cheaper to take out and they have pre-packed sandwiches for anyone in a rush or prefers something simple, and if you like cakes they seem to have a lot of tasty looking cupcakes and sweet stuff here which I’ve yet to try! The staff are very friendly and the prices are not bad either; You can dine for ~ € 10 and the coffee was around € 2.75. The service is also pretty quick and they have free Wifi(they give you the password when you order of you ask). Just to note, the opening times on Unilocal for the Grand Canal branch are actually incorrect as I was surprised that they close early at 6pm on Friday 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. It’s only from Monday to Thursday that they are open from 7:30am to 10pm.

Nearly passed this place by but the chalk board outside had on it «Bacon Buttie!» There was no way I was going any further until I had a bacon buttie. Went in and asked for my bacon buttie only to be told. We only do them for breakfast(stops at 11)!!! Oh come on! Take your breakfast board in after 11 and put out your lunch board! So after the devastating news I spotted that they did gourmet sausage rolls. Yum. I’ll have one of those. I ordered a sage and rosemary sausage roll. The sausage meat itself was really nice but as we all know pastry does not fare well in the microwave. This café is on the corner of a busy junction and you can sit at the window facing the world(great for people watching). There is also some out door seating.

First of all, the sausage rolls are not as good as everyone makes them out to be. I’m somewhat of a sausage roll aficionado and these were the worst ones I have ever had(and the most expensive too). The sausage to pastry ratio was all wrong. It was like a gigantic meatball with a ultra-paper-thin pasty crust. The pasty crust was also one of the worst I have ever had. To make matters even worse, they call them«savage» rolls and will correct you if you ask for a sausage roll. They won’t even say the term«sausage rolls.» Absurdity. I’d call them«savagely bad» rolls anyways. Moving on to the lunch, the focaccio chicken sandwiches were quite disappointing. The chicken was gray colored, the roasted vegetables tasted funky, the sauce was bad, and the filling to sandwich ratio was off as well(1″ filling to 5″ bread). Even the side salad tasted bad! The only redeeming grace of this place was that a woman working there kindly offered up her seat to myself and my girlfriend. But hey, this is a food review site and the high rating that this place currently has is undeserved.

Every day I have dilemma on where to go for my morning coffee. Today I decided for a lolly and cooks. I asked for a single shot soy latte. And I really enjoyed. Usually the coffee in here have very strong taste, when you ask for a weaker option barista(the really nice gentleman with few piercings) make sure it’s not too strong. Appreciate!

I love this place. I visit them every day on my way to work for my daily dose of their amazing flat white. Their breakfast combo(coffee +pastry) is great value for money if you need something light in the morning — try the sundried tomato and olive muffin, delicious. Without any doubt, one of the best spots in Grand Canal!

Lolly & Cook’s do great bakes — I’m a big fan of their cupcakes and other sweet treats. The Tunisian orange cake that I had on my last visit was unbelievably moist and light and packed an intensely citrusy punch, while the chocolate icing on top added a depth of sweetness and richness that balanced out the sharpness of the orange perfectly. Their coffee wouldn’t be up there on my list of greats but it does the job and the delicious cakes more than make up for its mediocrity. The sausage rolls look incredible too so I’ll have to make sure to try one on my next visit!

This Lolly & Cooks out of all of them(and I do like all of them!!) is the best for comfort and location I feel. Super coffee, a great selection of cupcakes, various brownies etc and the best sausage rolls in Dublin(by a long shot) This with a nice upstairs eating area or loads of room to nibble outside makes it a perfect little spot close to Bord Gais!

I’m not a fan of actually sitting inside and eating, so if its warm out, I sit outside, or I just do take away. Its too cramped and uncomfortable :( Anyway, the food is awesome. The salads aren’t really my thing, but everything else is!!! The sausage rolls are to die for. They used to do a massive red velvet cake, but haven’t seen that around in a bit. Shame. I love all the cupcakes. The raspberry and coconut is a new addiction of mine. I’d eat 10 a day if I could. They stay open later than most places, so you can actually pop down for a coffee and dessert after you’ve had your own dinner at home. I love that!

I had to get some cupcakes for a special occasion on super short notice. I was told they don’t do custom cupcakes but would do their best with the decorations — when I came for pickup the next day my cupcakes were ready and waiting, nicely boxed up and really pretty looking. Mostly though they were delicious, I find that cupcakes can be dry but these are absolutely melt in your mouth yummy and the frosting is incredible!

I usually visit Lolly and Cooks for breakfast/lunch over the weekends. They make really good Sausage Rolls, Scone, and Quiche. The Sandwiches are nice, but nothing to write home about. I also happen to like their coffee; it takes awhile to grow into(esp. the Americanos can come off too strong), but are essentially very good.

This little coffee shop is so good. I usually go there in the morning for a quick breakfast. They have really nice pastries, delicious scones and some savoury muffins. The coffee is really good, definitely recommended. I like sitting by the window or upstairs on the counter tables. They make delicious cupcakes. I don’t usually like cupcakes but for once they taste as good as they look. The staff are ridiculously friendly, each and every one. Love this place!

Good spot for a quick breakfast. The coffee and pastries are very good. Head upstairs for a more quaint experience. Our waitress was very nice, and the service was good.

I love how this place is open late and it’s great for people getting off work. There’s a lot of seating upstairs if you’re eating in. There’s loads of dinner selections but it is a bit pricey in my opinion. I feel like the desserts are just almost there — they’re nothing to write home about although there’s so many options available. I feel the same about most of the pastries here… Coffee is decent and they have a few tea choices to choose from.

I really feel that the pricing needs to be record here. Take out espresso is € 1.50 and € 2.10 for a double yet an extra shot is 40cent. So what if I asked for a single espresso with and extra shot… Take out…€ 1.90 crazy crazy. Bit messy. Great selection of cakes and breakfast stuffs. Really like the design of the place.

New small place in the Grand Canal Dock. We were drawn by a free mini cupcake promotion. The coffee is very good, also the soy milk cappuccino. Cupcakes are tasty, but quite expensive, if they weren’t free, I would never buy them. However, the chocolate croissants are very good, not too buttery, for a fair price. Atmosphere is relaxed, especially on the second floor. Staff very nice and helpful. Free WiFi, just ask for the password. I wish they had more gluten free and vegan options to offer!
