Manor Take Away Foods

Got take away from here one night and it was vile, by far one of the worst take aways ive ever eaten out of in dublin.
I got fish and chips. The fish was full of bones and did not taste good. I couldnt finish it. The chips werent much better. Never again.

Food is nice. I love snack boxes and this is the closest one to where I live. The best thing about this takeaway is they always deliver really quickly. So if you’re starving it’s awesome

I am pretty surprised by the previous 2 reviews regarding the «chip» situation in this establishment!
I am a Stoneybatter born chipper loving boy. I remember when this fine establishment opened its doors back when I was a kid growing up in the area and a bag of chips was 60p! Yes that’s right! 60p. So a very long time ago. Late 80’s if I remember correctly.
I also remember many a fmaily Christening/​Funeral/​Birthday party taking place in Kavanagh’s pub and without fail a trip next door to Manor Take Away was in order. (At one point you could even bring your bag of chips into Kavanagh’s to have with your pint depending on the bar man on duty at the time)
The chip situation however seriously deteriorated in recent years. In comparison to what they were, the current chips have not a patch on the chips of days gone by.
I have eaten from this chipper for the bones of 20 years.
This place is spotless, friendly staff and every single item I have eaten on the menu is very tasty and very fresh. But for some reason the chips are just not up to scratch in my opinion.
What I do recommend from here is the doner kebabs however. They are the nicest that I have eaten in Europe!!! I have tried doners in the UK, Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Oslo, Dublin, Cork and Belfast and none have compared to the amazing doner kebab of Manor Take Away.
But this is my dilemma. When I go to a Dublin chipper I rate the chips first and the kebabs second. So for this reason Manor Take Away get’s a 3 out of 5. There are much better chips in other chippers.

This chipper has got to be the most tastey around Dublin 7. I aways find that the chips are nice and fresh. while anyone with a taste for doner kebabs, you do not know what you are missing out on if you have not tried a kabab from here. The chicken fillet burger is also the best burger you can find around this area. I noticed the last time i was in there they have new chilli chicken subs so i thought it would be rude not to try one and i was not disapointed, it was verrrrrrry tastey. the staff are always nice and friendly, although Guisseppe (the tall grumpy looking one) could do with smiling once in a while :) overall i give this chipper a big thumbs up ;)

This chippers does excellent chips, so tasty! Best of all they put them in a foil lined bag to keep them nice and warm. This place is spotless, the staff are great, selection is fantastic from battered burgers to chicken curry pies to ice-​cream cones. You want to get some comfort and some extra blubber, then this joint is for you. Prices are cheap and cheerful. I’m getting hungry thinking of it.
