I came here for coffee on a few occasions and every time I get a nice warm welcome! The staff are very friendly here, and although the café itself is quite small, there is both indoor and outdoor seating and the décor is pretty chic and modern. There is a nice view of the canal and 2 Dublin bike stations as well as bike stands really nearby so that’s pretty handy. The café seems to get really crowded around lunch time on weekdays, but they are open on Saturdays when it’s quieter but closed on Sundays. The Italian coffee is very good here and they have the coffee shop must-have loyalty card where you get every 10th cup free. I have yet to try the food, but it’s an Italian café with pastas, salads, pizza, paninis, bruschettas, cheese platters and soup with take out prices being cheaper than eat-in prices. The prices are very reasonable in general; my Americano was € 2.50, but they have cheaper prices for take away coffee before 11am. The food is all under € 10 as well. Overall, friendly staff, good quality coffee and nice seating.

I ended up in Pause Café by pure chance as my regular lunch spot was super busy that day. In Pause Café I received the warmest welcome as I entered. I just wanted a salad or sandwich or something along those lines and most lunchers(Is that a word? Like diners?) had pasta dishes and typical Italian fare. The owner handed me a menu and also pointed out the pre-made sandwiches. A bit short on time at this stage I opted for one of the pre-made ones: ciabatta with parma ham and mozzarella. I paid a bit over a fiver(take out) and it was mainly bread as it turned out. Quite disappointed, I struggled to make it through the afternoon after my carby lunch. I wouldn’t say no to going back though to try one of their pasta dishes. Everything that was served looked lovely and smelled so so good and the staff in there was incredibly friendly.

Always a great italian lunch experience. I’ve been here a few times. Very fresh ingredients. High quality olive oil and balsamic drizzled over our mozzarella on the Insalata Caprese. The Crostini is amazing and was worth the wait. Great Italian coffee. Very friendly staff. Great outdoor seating with views of people wake boarding on the canal. Looking forward to next time.
