I’m pretty impressed with this place. This Macari chain is popping up all over Dublin and never seems to disappoint. What I love about this place is that you have«diner» style booths. It’s your typical chipper fare. The chips though are really top notch. One of the best Italian chipper chips in Dublin. To sit in and eat is very cheap. € 7 for a snack box with a can of Pepsi. Huge portion. Great chicken. Amazing chips. I was here on a date, well part of a date. More the end of a date and we wanted some bold food. The the most romantic of places but hey, I’m a Northsider. They left us short one drink when the food was brought out. When I addressed this with the cashier she immediately got defensive and said she only charged us for one drink. No honey. We got 2 meal deals. 2 drinks included. I got a little defensive myself due to her knee jerk reaction and promptly showed her our receipts. She very quickly apologised and gave us our 2nd Pepsi. I get the impression there is probably a particular type of customer who crosses these doors. Hence the knee jerk reaction to us potentially trying to scam a free Pepsi. I was wearing a baseball cap and runners but my name aint Deco love. I can forgive this as the apology was swift and I can only imagine the sort of messers the staff have to deal with in here. They accept credit and debit card which is unusual and a big plus for a chipper. I will most certainly be back.
