Brother of Jo Burger and Crackbird. Good idea for a Sunday dinner. Tables are made out of the old door. The menu is simple and focuses at the pizzas, so you don’t stress out with what to choice. Bit untypical table set– I’m not sure why they keep honey at the table, but it’s a nice touch. My boyfriend orders a pizza that was thin and tasty. I go for beef meatballs and mashed potatoes. Mash taste a little bit watery, and I didn’t like that, meat was quite tasty, same as a sauce(Tom chilli tomato sauce). We added gnocchi as a side, and we had plenty of food between two of us. I will come back

Enjoyed my first trip here, the pizza was good if a bit small. Second trip, I was there with my son and the staff went out of their way to make our stay unpleasant. Really not worth a visit, the pizza is good but not good enough to make up for how rude the staff are.

I’m from Chicago and we’re known for our pizza but I have to say, this might be my FAVORITE pizza place of all time. I ordered the chorizo pizza and drizzled it with their homemade spicy honey sauce… AMAZING!!! The crust is thin, with an oven wood taste and the ingredients are fresh. The place has a hipster vibe, something you would experience in Portland, Oregon. The music is on point– dim lighting, lots of candles, shared tables and cool vibes. You most stop by and have their pizza. Shout-out to James, he offers great hospitality and cares about your experience as his customer.

The food here is so good! I didn’t try the pizza — the place is all about pizza, I know — instead I had vegetarian meatballs ;) It was surprisingly tasty. My companions had pizza, and I’m going to tell you: one pizza is enough for 2 people. They just couldn’t eat it all. The lemonade is also huge. And not good, actually. The places decoration is very rustic but I think I liked that. Location, well, Crane lane is a ugly alleyway. But don’t be afraid, Skinflint is just after the corner.

Another of those hipster laid back spots in town. Not because I necessarily like when things become TOO hipster, but this is still fairly authentic with doors as tables, lamps without lamp shades, and some staff with little hats on. I know some people have said pizzas are bland — that is not true! They are all but bland — have tried a few and so far I must say my absolute favorite one is the fontina, egg and truffle oil one. Easy pick for me — as soon as I see truffle as one of the ingredients in a course on the menu, my decision is usually done. The dough is nice and thin, and the flavor of the pizza is well seasoned and yes it does taste truffle for those that wonder! For people liking the more meaty stuff — the porchetta pizza is nice as well. All are served on a wooden rectangular board — pretty neat and much easier to eat than those round one’s. If you want to go for a starter, the dips are really nice and comes with a same size as the pizza bread meaning that if you’re gonna have a pizza as main, you’ll suffer from dough coma. So IF you want the starters, I would only go for that and not have a pizza — and whatever you do don’t miss the fig and olive tapenade. Portions are big anyway — for three people I think 2 pizzas are sufficient. Does not take reservation which is good if you realize it is Friday night and you have yet to make a booking somewhere. I’ve never had to wait more than 20 min for a table, not even during the weekend nights.

Went here last Friday night with my two roommates. I’m shocked it’s taken me this long to come here since I feel like pizza should be its own food group and because I only live two minutes away. We arrived at 8.30 so I figured the place would be packed. It was, but thankfully they managed to squeeze us in straight away. The restaurant is quite a tight space but the turn around seems to be handled pretty quickly. People didn’t seem to be waiting longer than 10⁄15 mins for a table. The staff were also your usual friendly bunch too, but that goes without saying with these guys. We decided to share two pizzas between us(the Jules and the Susie), a mains portion of their house ribs which came with celeriac & apple slaw and a portion of their Mac ‘n’ Cheese in a Serrano ham bowl. Everything was excellent. The pizzas were super thin and crispy, just how I like them. The toppings were very flavoursome. Their house ribs were as good as you’ll find in any BBQ joint, if not better. I couldn’t even pick up the bone without the meat falling off. The celeriac and apple slaw was a revelation. Why is this not more of a thing? The mac ‘n’ cheese was nice and rich with plenty of gooey cheese. Admittedly, we left the ham bowl as it had completely dried out, which is fine since I feel like this is used more for show than anything. I couldn’t fault anything I ate during my meal. The only thing I could knock is their drinks menu here, which is more a case of personal taste. Their other sister restaurants have drinks menu that cater more to my taste so I understand that they want to have unique elements in each. The best thing? In total, the bill came to around € 42! Two pizzas, full rack of ribs w/their apple slaw and Mac ‘n’ Cheese for only € 14 each between 3 people is as good a value as you are going to find in the city, especially given the high quality of the food. If you like pizza, and hey… even if you don’t, I would still urge you do give this place a go. You won’t regret it! I’ll be knocking off one star because they didn’t have the kind of drinks I was looking for, but that won’t stop me from returning time and time again. Great job, guys!

My last review of this place was deleted so I would question the independence of this site. I didnt like or enjoy my visit here at all. Limited drinks menu(I just wanted coke cola!), unfriendly staff(our waitress), no cheese on pizza(really?). I went for lunch with three other girls in the afternoon as we were doing a course. When we came to pay we couldnt split the bill. I mean come on, it was lunch time and we were four friends. It was likely they deliberately did everything to make our experience not pleasant. Really didnt like it. There are plenty of decent pizza places around Dublin.

Wow! After a not so the best experience at another restaurant, came in hoping for the best here. They didn’t disappoint! Shared the cheesesticks, then had the serrano ham pIZZA, rubard(sp) crumb, and ended w an ice coffee! All super good!
The staff is super Irish friendly. Plus the music(lana del rey, santigold, kendrick) and ambiance is super chill. Mad props to Skinflint! Come here for great food, great service and chill ambiance.

Came based on Anthony Bourdain mentioning this place. The pizza is 3.5÷5, but overall place is 4⁄5 for the honey chili and great service. Don’t have a good reference for Irish prices, € 20 for a pizza and beer.

Just back from lunch for this place and what can I say? If you know Jo’ Burger, if you know Crackbird, then you know Skinflint. Except now you know those restaurants in pizza form! I’m not a big pizza guy truth be told, there’s just something about excessive breadyness that kills the experience for me. So I’m pleased to say that Skinflint totally gets this problem and delivers their pizzas on an extremely thin crust. It’s so thin that you can easily eat one of their full size(& rectangular!) pizzas without feeling too guilty. The selection of toppings are incredible too, my friend ordered a pizza with peach, raisens, goats cheese & pickles as toppings to name but a few ingredients and mine came with eggs, mushrooms and some other ingredients that I’ve forgotten the names of because they were so obscure. Obscure they may have been, it all tasted really great and the pizzas only came to € 10 each as they were a lunch special. Did I mention they have honey on every table, waiting to be drizzled all over your pizza? You never knew how much you needed honey & pizza together until you’ve been here. Atmosphere & interior were typically cool with great, trendy songs playing. This is the Jo’Burger standard interior, and it’s a standard that I’m still a big fan of. In short: Come here with friends/a date for some great, thin-crust pizza, exciting toppings & cool atmosphere.

I had heard a lot about this place so when a friend suggested we go I was so excited. We went and the waiter was so friendly. Loved the décor the tables are old doors on a stand which I thought was cool and something a bit different. The pizza arrived and I was a bit underwhelmed. It was fine. That’s all I can say. Nothing special. I asked for garlic dip to give it some umph but it was not very tasty at all. We got the lemonade as well which was kinda bitter but it was still drinkable. Despite this the place was packed and the atmosphere was great! I’d go back again just for drinks if they did that but it’s really more of a restaurant than a bar unfortunately.

Very easy going and trendy atmosphere! Big tables made with doors Perfect place to meet with your friends, but i wouldnt recommend this for a romantic diner! Overall, I don’t think it was the best pizzas I ever tasted but the selection was completely different from the usual pizzas offered in other pizzeria restaurants. My favorite = Share a pizza as starter with your friends on which you can spread hummus, beetroot cavior or figs jam

To be honest all I can say about this place is meh… Another hipster joint which I am okay with but the tables are not particularly comfortable and the atmosphere in general is not particularly great! I have eaten here a few time as I like to give places the benefit of the doubt but I can truly say that this weekend was my last time! Im sure they wont lose any sleep though as the place was completely packed out with people waiting to be seated at all times.(Of course these were all hipster groups) Okay so to talk about the most important point the food. Pizza nothing special Meatballs — flavorless Mash = Smash And thats pretty much the menu! not a whole lot to select from in true hipster eatery nature. I hate to be negative but please don’t waste your money its simply not great and that’s a fact!

Can’t believe I still haven’t reviewed this place. This is one of the most unique pizza experience you could have, fun menu! And I love the idea of meatballs! Try them with the orzo pasta! Go on! The lemonades are just like the ones their sister restaurants serve(crackbird, Jo burger.) and they’re really good! If you’re hungry, you could easily eat a pizza by yourself, so don’t be afraid to order one each and you could always do takeaway. Crust is lights and flavourful, toppings are fresh, no weird«what did I just eat» feeling after most pizzas in town. You must also try their salads, they are delicious! The atmosphere is nice, funky music, dim lights. Lovely!

Kind of hard to find down a dark road with no clear signs, but maybe that’s what they are going for to seem hip and cool. Once you do find the place though, it has a great ambiance inside. The pizza they go for tend to be the odd selection of toppings, I’m guessing also to be hip and cool, but they are good pizzas so no complaints from me.

Hmmmm… Good points: — Funky décor — AMAZING ribs(SO good — would go back for them alone) — Very friendly staff — Cheap carafes of wine — 2 for 1 pizza on a Monday(bargain!!) Bad points: — The pizza!!! Not great at all to be absolutely honest. It was average at best. Despite the range of pizzas we got, they all nearly tasted the same — pretty bland, pretty dry, and just really not all that. They don’t even have a chili sauce to add to them(though they do have honey which is lovely) I wish this place did better pizza as I was hoping it was gonna be my go-to on a Monday, but alas, it wasn’t to be. There are a lot of people that would dispute me on the pizza opinion however, so, I am willing to go back and try it again, and hopefully be proven wrong!

The pizza here was fantastic. The crust was thin and crunchy and the dorothy with serrano ham was wonderful, especially with dabs of honey from the table jars. I was a bit disappointed with the other non-pizza menu items, however. The meatballs were extremely firm and hard as rocks and the 5 herb and garlic sauce was overly salty. The salad with feta and spring onions was pretty bland, as it was mostly lettuce and I could barely taste the chili dressing. Loved the décor of the place– wire, shadeless hanging lamps with filament bulbs, long reclaimed shared wood tables, a bit industrial meets punk. The service was medicore– our waiter forgot to tell us the specials, but was pretty friendly nonetheless.

Ambiente similar a Jo Burguer and Bear pero si quieres un bocado de pizza. Me parece un poco caro para una porción de pizza rápida teniendo tantas opciones en Temple Bar, y para sentarte a cenar mejor irte al Ciao Bella Roma!

You had me at Chilli infused Honey !! I adore the Firebee honey — I never would have thought of putting honey on a pizza but it is really something you need to try. The restaurant itself is very cool and the décor is great — really relaxed and quirky as with all of Joe Mackens places(Jo Burger /Crackbird /Bear). The staff are super friendly Hipsters types. The Pizzas are very tasty however I am not really a fan of the combinations they have on the menu so generally just make up my own. They do great salads and have an amazing starter of Parma ham cups filled with mac & cheese. I would definitely recommend it if you want something light or a restaurant experience that is a little of the ordinary
