I’ve passed by this place so many times. Hard not too when it seems flooded by all these trendy ‘Irish’ bistros and cafés. It’s a shame, because it’s quite a lovely restaurant serving Indian and Nepalese dishes. For € 7.15 you get a main dish with your choice of rice or naan. We had the rice ’cause we were starved. I had the Karahi lamb. So delicious and the meat was lovely and tender. The rice was also tasty. Really impressive food. The service was ok. The waiters were friendly enough and the food was brought out in a timely manner, after the poppadoms of course!

Are in here for the first time yesterday evening. It’s a small no frills Indian. The service was friendly and attentive. They had no problem adding mushrooms to one if the dishes and they altered the spice levels to our taste. I gave to say it was the best jumbo prawn saag I ever tasted! Really good.

This restaurant loses 4 entire stars because of service. The service I was given last night with my friend was just appalling and here is why. Having just started 2 new jobs, my friend and I decided to beat the broke before payday blues and meet for an after work drink and grub. We wanted something cheap and warming on a lovely autumn evening so we decided to try out this Indian that we had heard did large enough portions to share. We decided to sit outside as it was a nice evening for it and inside looked very busy. We got there for 7:20 and quickly asked if we were still in time for the early bird which ended at 7:30. The waiter told us it ended at 7 where we referred to the menu which stated 7:30, not wanting to loose out on this deal, did I mention our pre pay day blues? We then had a different waiter come take our order at almost 7:40 which we couldn’t help but wonder if they were deliberately taking long so that to not give us the early bird. When the waiter took our order we asked for a main with an extra portion of rice for us to share and before we could ask for the starter, he stated«One main and 2 rice? So your ordering nothing?. We repeated we wanted to share and then he snatched our menus from our hands and stormed of, saying nothing else. No chance of getting our early bird then! We were shocked and almost ready to leave at this point. But having already placed our order and not wanting it to ruin our night we stuck around. So we chatted and did our thing while we waited for our food trying not to be distracted by the staff member who was standing beside us pathetically beckoning passers by to come in and try there restaurant and talking to drunken pedestrians about the price of there Vindaloo. About HALFANHOUR later we received are dish to share, again with a seriously lack of polite service. The 1 star Im giving is for the food. The pomadoms were fresh and there dips were good. However are main although tasty was not an tomato based curry. It could have been any type of standard curry. This place left a bad taste in my mouth and really wouldn’t be a restaurant I would recommend. Maybe if your looking for a take away but even with that I’m sure there are better places to go.

Horrible. Paratha was a toasted whole wheat flat bread, samosa was wrapped in rice paper and the lamb in my lamb saag was actually beef. Still baffled how in Ireland with high quality lamb you would use beef instead. Too bad you can’t give this place zero stars, tandoor chicken was off the stove and the only good thing was the naan.

Two words, Lamb Jalfrezi. Most other dishes are just meat and sauce, not this one. Onions, peppers and green chillis fill this dish out. Right level of heat, good for the winter cold. The lunch deal for € 7.15 is whopper value. You get half a papadum and some nice dips, onion relish is delish. The lamb is consistently good quality, never had the chicken, don’t see the point when the lamb is so much tastier and better value to boot. Good food, attentive service, nice surroundings. Enough said.

We stumbled upon this place at the last minute as we were going to try a different Indian restaurant that seemed to be a little pricey. For Indian food it was pretty good. We arrived about 15 minutes after the early bird menu ended, but they still allowed us to eat off of it. Which was a good deal. Could choose from about 4 or 5 different dishes for about € 14 – 17 which included a starter. Overall the food was pretty tastey, but I’ll probably try out different places before I head back next time.

Doesn’t look great from the outside but it’s very nice when you venture inside! I’ve only been once but I found the food delicious and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Vegetarian choices too. It was a bit expensive but I’ve found that most Indian restaurants have increased their prices over the last year or two.
