Rocked up relatively late on Saturday night having wisely taken the precaution of booking about two weeks in advance. The joint was leppin. We were lucky to secure a table in the bar area where we began the birthday celebrations for the no-longer-a-teenager. Excellent margaritas set us up well. Moving to the equally comfortable dining room where service was friendly but a bit slow to my taste, we eventually ordered. Dinner was excellent all round. My scallops were perfectly prepared, presented and tasted exquisite. The fillet steak was cooked exactly to order — medium rare — and served at exactly the right, warm temperature. And the ‘chunky chips’? I could have dined on those alone — to die for. The rest of the party had variously hake or chicken and declared these to be just the business. We had a couple of bottles of an excellent Albariño Aleberei(#110 on the wine list if you must know). Only the birthday girl could find room for dessert. An excellent meal in a great location with plenty of on street parking for the non-imbibers. It wasn’t cheap but then how often do you turn 20?

Loved it! Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended and with newly moving into the area, I was dying to check this place out. Seen online their recent revamp and was über excited. Visiter here on a Friday night for a friends birthday and I’m so glad they went with my recommendation! This place lived up to it for sure… On entering, a really snazz looking bar area awaits; it’s the perfect pre or post dinner drink spot… Very on trend vibe to it and the staff promptly seated us and took drink orders. As a party of six we all arrived in dribs and despite running late on our table reservation they didn’t rush us, we all had time to catch up in the bar, heck the staff quickly merged 2 tables together to accommodate us… Seriously, they won me over then! We moved on to a table on the terrace which is a great dining space, even a cold winters night with the cover over and the fire light, the ambience was absolutely great. Food, the food… Oh my god, the food! It was delicious, the best meal I’ve had about Dublin in a long time, served up an amuse-bouche first it really was the perfect intro to how the night would go, course after course we all really enjoyed the food. Couldn’t fault the food, truly a foodie’s heaven! This is on the fine dining scale of eating out so the man who loves his lump of meat and tower of carbs maybe disappointed but if you appreciate great food and portions that satisfy rather than stuff you, this is definitely the place to go. Over the night, we sampled many of the wines and dabbled with some cocktails, all very impressive. Staff were very attentive, friendly and professional, catered really well for our group and even without prompt, served a happy birthday petit fours selection to the birthday boy, using the it’s for a birthday mention on the reservation and picking up on us wishing the person Birthday wishes when we all arrived, they placed the birthday delight in front of the right person. Restaurants, take note… Going over and beyond… And we loved it! You’ve won us all over, 6 new fans in Dublin. See ye again soon ;-)

Gorgeous! Lovely cocktail bar as you walk in, welcoming staff, and a beautiful, summery terrace. VERY small portions but we all left full. The pre-theatre menu is good value for the quality of the food, as the level of detail put into every dish is impressive. I’ll be back!

As mentioned on another of my reviews, I’m in the market far a small wedding venue. My leading two options where the cliff townhouse and brasserie le pont. So it was off to both for Sunday lunch to get a feeling for what’s on offer… It was a beautiful sunny day an so we sat on the terrace, a lovely start to the meal and such a rare treat in this climate. To start I had beet root cured salmon, it was simply delightful. Across the table my partner had cured beef, which was described as delicious, this was followed by a sea bream that was perfectly cocked and full of flavour. For mains I had the roast beef of the day and that was a real treat. Melt in the mouth! A dessert of chocolate cherry fondant and lemon tart and both where delicious. Staff where polished and remarkably friendly; the room it’s self a perfect refined contemporary style. I will be back, and this may even make it as a wedding venue, that or their food in trier sister venue upstairs. The only reason to give four stars not five is due to the supplements on the menu. To charge, for example a supplement for roast of the day, when roast of the day is on the menu without a supplement listed is cheeky. Just price the menu at a price which covers the most common options, the quality of the food does not need to be differentiated by price; it’s cheeky and cheap to price the menu low and keep adding extras for the popular dishes.

I had lunch here, it was very very good. I had the foie gras, it was very very good. I then followed that with the sea breem, it was very very good. The dessert was an ice-cream sort of thing that was a bit too melted by the time it got to me… still, tasted pretty good. My coffee, an espresso, barely dirtied the bottom of my cup. Rocket fuel, tremendous! No idea what it cost, it was a work thing, but pretty much worth it, what ever it cost!

This French restaurant is excellent. I had the steak, which was amazing! My friends had the hake, which may now be my favourite fish :-) The restaurant is lovely and there was great atmosphere when I was there. They have a piano and I expect that when it is being played, this would be a great place to take a date. They had two guitar players, singing and playing american background jazz type numbers, which really made the night. 2 thumbs up!

French cuisine served on tablecloths in a basement. Pearl Brasserie? Non! It’s a surprisingly bright dining room tucked under the old BIAM building where Leeson St. meets the canal. The dining room has some cubby holes, convenient for sneaking. The food is elegant, meaning the portions are a little sparse, but pretty and tasty. Maybe I should just say the food was moreish, because I did want more. It feels a little like a business lunch kind of venue. Worth a second look.
