Love this place from the minute I walked in today. A colleague recommended to grab lunch there so I did exactly that! The interior is so cute that I was disappointed I don’t get long enough of a break to enjoy it. Also it looked super clean and tidy too(even the bin area looks fab #pink) Wasn’t sure if they do toasted sandwiches and wasn’t offered it either so just enjoyed a ham & cheese sandwich with apple chutney and red onion on freshly baked bloomer bread. And it was delish — next time I will definitely try something more adventurous! Got served straight away and all staff seemed lovely and seem to really fit in with the interior(stylish /trendy /bubbly) — hmmm that might sound a but weird but I liked it! Bottle of water and sandwich € 6.95 which is not a bargain I suppose but sure is fresh!

As a long time fan of the north side Bakehouse I was excited to try this one when I moved south side. I had a chicken sandwich and handmade crisps that I legitimately haven’t stopped talking about since. I don’t know what sauce was on it but it was amazing! Will definitely be back

Eh Bakehouse, that was friggin’ delicious. I’m so over pulled pork. Yet I cannot stop eating pulled pork. So, I got your pulled pork sambo as a quick fix to a serious hunger earlier on. And it was so. Good. So. Good. I confess I ate half of it walking on the way to the office. It took me about 3 minutes. And the other half shamefully at my desk, pretending that I hadn’t stuffed the first half in my mouth along the way. The bread was so soft. The pork was ridiculously flavoursome. The horseraddish set it all off, as did the soured cabbage. I had a nice little convo with the girl behind the counter about Penny’s. She was friendly, your pork was amazing, I can’t see how we can ever possibly improve this situation. Bravo.

Soup and sandwich combo € 8. I’m stuffed. Good value meals, cute décor and colour scheme, very helpful staff. As a vegetarian, I found the sandwich choices(i.e. no choice) and the sandwich disappointing. I really wanted to like this place because it looks great; although I won’t avoid it if I happen to work nearby some day, it’s not on my list of places I would take a detour for.

I normally wouldn’t bother to do a review and genuinely wasn’t asked or anything but seriously the breakfast I had here this morning compelled me to write a positive review. I was hungover to bits and my girlfriend said it would cure me. I didn’t believe her but my god she was on the money. I got the bakehouse grill and it was comprehensive to say the least. A substantial tin of scrambled egg, 2 big slices of bacon, 2 slices of bread, 2 types of pudding and a jar of Unreal relish to top it all off. The flavours when I combined it all in a sandwich were amazing! Couldn’t recommend this place more for brunch. It’s unreal!

I was delighted to see The Bakehouse open on this side of the city. I was at a Unilocal event at their location on the river and have been meaning to go back since, but have never manage to for one reason or another. The décor is only fabliss also, completely Bakehouse in style. Staff were very pleasant and were up for some friendly chit-chat too. Coffee and a scone was nice, set me up for the morning at work. I look forward to try out their yummy food in the future.
