Best haircut I ever had. Just that simple. Skilled barbers and great attention to detail.

I was in Dublin visiting a friend for New Years and would be traveling for a couple weeks after leaving, so I decided I should get my hair cut before I left so I wouldn’t need to worry about it – and Butcher Bar was the perfect choice! In the States, I’m used to paying about 20 bucks for a haircut, so while Butcher Barber was a bit more than I’m used to paying(I think it was about 40 pounds with gratuity), it was definitely worth the money! First of all, the customer service was fantastic. Since I’m from the States, I wasn’t able to call Butcher, but my friend was while we were out sight-seeing. We seemed to be playing phone tag as we kept missing each other’s calls. After a few rounds of that, Butcher texted my friend back and asked for when we might want to book an appointment. I’m not sure if this is a pretty standard thing in Ireland, but it’s highly doubtful you’d get this kind of response from a company that missed your call. So we booked an appointment via text and ran over. After a few minutes of waiting, my hair was washed and then I was placed in a chair. My barber, Andy, was awesome. He listened carefully and was meticulous. Even when he was close to finishing the cut, I annoyingly asked for him to change the cut, and he did so with a smile on his face and did a fantastic job. It was exactly what I was looking for. I asked for an edgy, but low maintenance cut that would grow out well so that I wouldn’t need to worry about it for a while. Now almost three weeks later, my hair is still growing out great and looking good – I usually feel like I need to cut my hair every two weeks, but this cut is just growing out so fineeee. Very happy with my experience and while I may not be in Dublin again for a while, a haircut here is highly recommended!

Another great cut from Alfredo and I am going to buy a bottle of Eight & Bob that you sprayed it was one of the best fragrances ever.

I came here on a friends recommendation and I was not disappointed, it is the best place in town for a guy to get coiffured. Ok, so my hair doesn’t require such an elaborate coiffure, but the barbers take there time and put styling into even a basic cut. A cut costs € 30, which I would have considered a lot in the past, but for the time and attention that is put in it is worth it. Make sure to make an appointment in advance as they always seem to be fully booked.

Got a hair cut here after work last week and was really impressed by the friendliness of everyone there even so close to closing time where you’d normally expect people to just want to get home! My barber(apologies but I can’t remember his name!) was really attentive to detail and gave me his opinions of the best choice of the images I had brought in based on my hair type. I heard the other barbers delivering lots of advice and comments of a similar nature to other clients and was really impressed by that! Lovely guys, great cut. Will definitely be back. It would be great to get the full price list put up on here, the website or Facebook however!

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Emmet, owner of the Butcher Barber, for almost three years. His skill and attention to detail are second to none. This has transferred to his staff and the design of the shop. I’ve never left feeling anything other than a million dollars. All the staff chat away with customers, treating all equally. The quality of products used in the store is excellent and the reminder texts for your appointment is greatly appreciated. This place is going from strength to strength and early booking is advised. Excellent.

At first glance € 30 seemed expensive but I was lucky to get a voucher as a xmas gift. So got a freebie. Went in and was well looked after I showed the barber(ger) a picture of what I wanted and hit the nail on the head I won’t go anywere else now

What a great find, it was time for a new barber so based on the reviews on this site I decided to give Butcher Barber a try — I’ll be back. Best hair cut in a very long time — Thanks Ger! And what a friendly bunch — perfect!

Have to post on my other half’s behalf. He’d been looking for somewhere for a long time that wasn’t a «Womens Salon» but still wouldn’t laugh at him for having a photo of what he wanted. Butcher Barbers is exactly that. Its a testosterone fuelled man cave of pampering. They know what you want by talking to you, execute it well and take their time doing it. They work by appointment only so I never have to sit waiting for himself to join and endless queue of bored guys all waiting on the same haircut like he used to! He raves about his stylist, Billy, who is as friendly and welcoming as he is good with a scissors. OH looks forward to his haircuts and man time now and I’m happy that I don’t have to listen to him give about about looking«scaldy» for a week after his haircut anymore!

I recently got a haircut and was afraid of outcome as well as the steep price but it was all worth it in the end. Billy was extremely professional and took great length of time as well as hairs :) to give me a look I was looking for. His expertise worked the magic. Recommended !

The Butcher Barber has an extreme attention to detail you’d only expect from the best. I walked in and was told that there was a need to book much like a salon but they fit me in after 15mins. I’ve been back 3 times since but have always booked ahead to avoid disappointment. The staff of the Butcher Barber are polite and courteous. On entering they provided me with coffee of your choice which they surprisingly ran down the round to pick up in the local posh café. My cut was precluded with a nice head wash. I was seen to by the owner, Emmet who made sure I had the perfect cut for my head. He prides himself in ensuring no customer gets a standard cut but a cut that is right for their style and their own head. I even got a second hair wash as they didn’t want me to leave with bits of shaved loose hair on my neck or falling onto my cloths. Best Men’s Cut in Dublin I’ve ever had. Worth every cent
