Great wash and cut here today, plenty of time and effort taken by the barber to get it right. Will be back definitely!!!

The place itself is pretty cool and hipster and my friend was there before and was very happy with his haircut but I have to say I was quite disappointed. I explained what type of haircut I wanted and even showed him some pictures(I got this before so I Know it works with my hair type) but the guy seemed to be quite in a rush to start and if I have to be honest didn’t seem too friendly. The end result was very different from what I showed him, even though I reminded him again half way through the cut how I wanted it. But the thing I was not happy the most was how much he thinned out my hair. I have A LOT of hair so I am used to get it thinned out but he did it so much I find it really hard to style it now as it’s all wiry and looks like I have little hair. Not happy at all. I am giving a 2 because the other guy and girl that were there seemed to be a lot more friendly but I will definitely not go back there.

Went to this place based on reviews on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. First off it cost € 20 for a wash and cut which I think was reasonable considering the care and attention given. I went in and showed a photo of what I was looking for(this should be a requirement for a lot of men because we can be damn bad at describing what we want). My barber spent a long, LONG time carefully combing through my hair, getting an idea of what my hair was like and planning out the cut. I’d honestly never seen this before, he spent at least 5 – 10 mins not cutting at all and just planning. He gave ideas of what way I should style my hair but also took on board my suggestions, this is how a barber and their customer should interact. The final cut was almost exactly what I wanted. I’m damn picky when it comes to barbers because, hey, everyone can see your hair every day, it should look good. And so with that in mind, I can confidently say that I’ll be back to this place and recommend it.

I decided to give Woxx one more chance, more out of convenience then anything else, since all the other barbers I’d passed had massive queues. BIGMISTAKE. Will not be setting a foot inside this place again. After my last experience I was keen to explain exactly what I wanted so as to avoid another disappointment, but the woman cutting my hair was so unbelievably rude. She cut me off and said sarcastically«you’re gonna teach me, huh?». Wow…what a great way to speak to a paying customer. I got embarrassed and hushed up, when I should’ve just got up and walked out. She then proceeded to hack away without a word while I sat in stony silence. It felt very uncomfortable. Twice more I tried to give her some detail about what I would like and each time she shot me down, as if to say ‘I’m the one with the scissors, I know how to cut hair, so shut up’. In the end the cut looked completely the opposite of what I had attempted to ask for, again way too much length taken off the top even after I had mentioned that I wanted to keep it long. I was too tired for a confrontation. I begrudgingly handed over the money and left feeling so pissed. If you are in anyway particular about your hair, don’t go here because they are not interested in listening to you.

Great barber on South William Street — one that I’ve been recommended a lot but have only just got round to trying out. I normally get my hair done at the Butcher Barber(a really class place), but in these hard times it’s getting more and more difficult for me to justify dropping thirty quid on a haircut, regardless of what a good experience it is. Cue Woxx: this place is definitely up there near the standard of the Butcher, but at half the price. Fifteen euro got me a wash & cut that I’m really happy with in a salon that’s top notch. They’ve certainly done the place out really well — it looks the business with nice couches, sharp décor, televisions, and decent tunes. The guy cutting my hair was a top bloke — he took a hell of a lot of care to give me what I wanted, which can’t be said for all of the city’s barbers, that’s for sure. Will definitely be returning here as it’s serious value for money(and as Karl said in his review, it’s right across from the brilliant Clement & Pekoe, so you can grab a cuppa afterwards). Cheers Woxx!

Two lads formerly of Grafton Barbers in Ashbourne running this spot in the heart of the Creative Quarter Dublin. They have quickly got a very good name for themselves. I was recommended by a neighbouring café I always go to, Clement & Pekoe. The two lads really take pride and joy in what they do. The y have a couch that is comfy to sit in, tv’s, beers etc. Top spot. Dont expect a quick shave of the head. They cater for all types of hair cuts, I enjoy having my hair long and they just tidied it up nicely. I will definitely be back to them.
