I’ve been walking past The Italian Corner for years and have always wanted to pop in but never got around to it. This past week, I was in the area and had an urge for some pasta and remembered this place. The menu is very well priced so we decided to pop in. This was a weekday evening and the place wasn’t too packed — a couple of large parties and a few smaller ones. We got to pick our seats and the views of the Liffey outside is really nice. I ordered the Chicken and Brocolli alfredo and it was very nice. The staff were also very friendly. I’d go back for sure — it’d be a lovely location for a quick lunch.

Sunday afternoon early dinner with hubs and kids and the kids were demanding pizza. We decided to this spot as it was a gorgeous day and the view out of the windows really helped distract hungry tired little people. We ordered a standard size pizza to share, garlic bread, a portion of fries and between himself and myself, the crab claws and wing starter. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive, messing with the kids and even letting them go look at the kitchen from the stairs — the 7 year old was delighted he got to see the chef working! The food to be honest wasn’t great, the pizza was tasty but over filled with cheese on a very thin base. Fries were overdone and tasted reheated. The garlic bread was just horrible, like those toasties you get in the supermarket. Crab claws were nice and the wings were ok. We asked for a little bit of bread for the kids to keep them entertained while waiting for the food and a basket with 2 slices of brown soda bread, a slice of baguette and a larger piece of baguette toasted and with garlic oil came out. IMO the garlic bread should have been like that. I’m giving 3 stars because although I wasn’t impressed with the food, the service more than made up for it, as parents of young kids, when we do bring them out it really helps if we feel welcomed to a restaurant, and they brought pictures and crayons and general happy good will which meant a lot. They didn’t get a 4th star as we were charged € 2.50 for the disappointing bread basket and € 2 for a small glass of milk for one of the kids.

Loved this place, seated at the window and nice view of the Liffey. I had bruschetta to start which was lovely. My friend had chicken and pancetta rigatoni which she loved, and my carbonara was to die for! Only thing missing in it Id say was a little sliver of roasted garlic bread… We had the house white wine which was ok. Shared a brownie for dessert. Staff were prompt and friendly. Will come back here!

My wife and I wanted a quiet evening meal away from the hustle and bustle of the Temple Bar area. I had spaghetti and meatballs and my wife had tagliatelle, the service was quick and the waitress was very pleasant. We liked the food very much and it was enough to satisfy us completely. I would recommend this restaurant if you like Italian food in a quiet unassuming way.

Came here with my mam for an impromptu dinner. To be honest I was a little disappointed. We actually ordered the same thing, some sort of spicy tomato prawn linguini. The prawns I have to say were cooked to perfection but there were hardly any in it. The portion size was massive but I think the pasta was just makng up for the lack of prawns, I couldn’t finish it all and I just thought it was such a waste. The staff were lovely, we had a lovely waiter actually. 50 quid for 2 pastas and 2 wines I thought was abit steep. Sorry Italian quarter ive just had better but in looking at other reviews im sure it was just a once off

This is a lovely restaurant, with a nice view across the river, and of the Millennium Bridge. There was live music, a violinist/singer, who played one great song after another. It really added to the atmosphere. I emailed the restaurant to ask who he was… Patrick Collins, and he plays with a group called The Café Orchestra. The Ravioli was not perfect(the centre part was not quite cooked enough I thought), but the char grilled chicken it came with was perfect. The suppli starter, a kind of croquette with rice and cheese was delicious, and my friends pizza was thin and crispy, with pine nuts and spinach leaves, very authentic Italian. Vanilla ice cream with peanut butter chocolate sauce for desert… I only intended eating a little bit of it, but somehow it was all gone when we were leaving:-)

Authentic Italian food and very good value for money! Dined here recently with a friend on a whim and we got a table without a prior reservation. We particularly enjoyed the live music which I found was a nice touch to the family like atmosphere. The wine was nothing to rave about however so it looses a star for that. However, I would most definitely come back!

Started off badly. Upon entering the restaurant and giving our name we were welcomed with«Your late». Clearly the waitress didn’t have any kind of manners as we had been told on the phone that we had the table for two hours. I admit we were over 20 minutes late but once we were out within the designated time it shouldn’t have been an issue. She then led us to our table and said you have 60 minutes to eat. My girlfriend protested that we had at least 90 minutes as we has been told we had the table for two hours when we booked. She finally agreed that we did have 90 minutes. When I said that she was being a bit rude she actually agreed that she knew she was but she needed the table back. We had never been trying to get the table for any longer than we had been given and we did not appreciate being scolded for being a few minutes late. The food upon arrival was mediocre. Completely fine but a little bland and would not have you running back for more. To top it all off they got my girlfriends main course wrong and when she pointed it out the manager was nice enough and offered her what she originally had ordered but it would be a 25 minute wait. As we were under stringent time constraints she decided to keep what she was given. Needless to say we won’t be going back there anytime soon. The main deciding factor was the rudeness of the waitress which we still can’t get over and completely ruined our evening. We had always admired this restaurant from the outside and were excited for the chance to finally eat there but it didn’t like up to its expectations.

Came here on Valentine’s day. We were looking for something a little more upscale than the pub food we had been eating since we first got to Ireland 3 days before. Most places were booked and we didn’t bother to make a reservation, so we were glad the Italian Corner accommodated us. I wasn’t feeling very well so I decided to keep it light with the Soup of the day-Cream of Vegetable and the Prawns appetizer. The soup was absolutely delicious. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The prawns reminded me of a shrimp scampi. It was a bit oily for my stomach to handle, but my fiancé loved it, so he polished it off for me :) My fiancé ordered the Calzone. When he got it it was huge, we probably could’ve split it, but he was pretty hungry. When he got ¼ of the way through he noticed that it was a bit cold in the middle. Not too devastating since the thing was so huge, so he asked the waiter to warm it up a but more. About 15 mins later the waiter returned with a fresh calzone somehow even bigger than the last! He ate it all and said it was delicious Lol. I did a little food stalking and noticed that the couples next to us had ordered pasta. They looked soooooo good. I wish my tummy was up to the task b/c I would’ve ordered one for sure. We had the Fudge Brownie with vanilla ice cream and walnuts for dessert and we both enjoyed it! There was a gentleman playing the violin and occasionally serenading us. Very impressive that he didn’t stop playing for the entire hour we were there. There was a 25 euro bottle of wine special that night too. Again if I could have indulged I would have but I didn’t want to push my tummy over the edge. I can’t wait to go back and try the pasta!

I came here on v day with no reservations they took me in right away. Meanwhile two others places said no and had open seats. I ordered the calzone. It was amazing. The price was reasonable. Upscale environment. Would most definitely go back

I’ve often passed by The Italian Corner and thought we should give it a try sometime and sometime finally materialsed last night. On a bright Friday evening, we made our way there though I had some negative reviews from Tripadvisor(I really should know better by now) playing on my mind. On arriving, we were shown to our table by the window. heaven if you’re a people-watcher. I ordered the soup of the day and she ordered the bruschetta. My soup was delicious. It was hot, wholesome and so very tasty. Some people wrongly think that soup is something that is harder to get wrong. Not so. But this was one of the better ones I’ve had(it’s like I have weird pregnancy cravings for soup without being pregnant). For the main, I went for the seabass. I rarely order fish when I eat out. I’m not sure why — I love fish. But this was beautiful. Really beautiful. the sauce was even nicer. I wanted to lick the plate. Like you wouldn’t believe. It took all I had not to. My wife had the chicken stuff with chorizo and mozarella and loved it. She inconsiderately left none of it for me to taste :-) To cap ot off, we had the ice cream with raspberry coulis. Not an ice cream fan normally but it was the perfect end to a really enjoyable and tasty meal. As Arnie said, I’ll be back.

This restaurant was right near our hotel(The Clarence) and so we stopped by here for dinner one night, while craving italian food. Service was a little slow but was friendly. PLENTY of vegetarian options! THe food was pretty good, however I do remember it being on the smaller portion size… and for the price I was a little bit surprised… however we did enjoy our meals. and since we were on vacation we didn’t seem to mind the price! Great crowd, and great location as well!

I feel a little guilty only giving 3 stars. The food was incredible and beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was impeccable as well although as the only people in the restaurant it was expected. The restaurant itself is adorable and the views of the Quays and the river makes for good people watching while you lunch. Unfortunately the prices sort of turned me off. It’s not that I think € 18 is a lot for an evening meal but with stiff competition in the area(especially just across the Liffey!) it seemed like a stretch. Also, for the 2-course special there was a ridiculous amount of food. I felt rather guilty not finishing any of it but the first course of soup was an entire bowl with a huge piece of toast on the side. The second course was a large plate of pasta. Although exquisite in every way, I thought they could do with smaller dishes and smaller prices. It would save them from wasting perfectly good food as well as save me from wasting perfectly good money when it isn’t necessary. Might be a good idea to share with your date?

«I’ll just check the book for you sir, how many people are in the party?» «How many!?,» Click Q dejectedly puts the phone down and has a nice quiet cry… that’s the 6th restaurant in a row who seem to be to busy to take a bunch of 60 people from my office and wait on them hand and foot, other prerequisites include laughing at my bosses jokes and serving l’Crivan quality food at McDonalds prices. Funnily enough I’m struggling with this one… Then I remember Eliza Blues and just as quickly remember it is shut but I call anyway as I know a new place has opened there. Cathryn answers the phone, listens to my requests and refuses to laugh at my bosses jokes, however, she is willing to make one of the other waiting staff giggle to keep himself happy. I accept the terms as they seem reasonable. They took the party of 60, put on a set menu of about 6 starters and 6 or 7 mains and 2 desserts. When we had eventually settled ourselves the order was taken quickly and the starters started arriving in due course, from there the meal and indeed the night went very smoothly, they seemed to have no problem dealing with a large group, it was all incredibly smooth and the biggest surprise was that the meal was excellent, everybody left happy — unheard of in our circles! The prices were very respectable and they do a deal where every 10th person dines for free(not including wine obviously). I would have avoided this like the plague before — the decoration is a bit tacky and its in Templebar, a recipe for disaster. I was dead wrong, The Italian corner is recommended by choosey Q — especially for groups.
