The Lighthouse Cafe

The coffee is nice but the customer service ruins the experience. Every time I have gone in I have had a rude encounter with staff… if you want to enjoy your coffee go elsewhere.
Lighthouse, treat your customers with more consideration.

This is an update of my previous review. As this is one of only three lunch options (Spar, Subway and Lighthouse) in Cherrywood Business Park where I work, I have gone for lunch here occasionally since my first review. This is a solid lunch option, I’m not blown away but it does the job. There is however one menu item that I am quite impressed with which is the Supper Food Salad. With feta, sun-​dried tomatoes and pomegranate seeds to name a few ingredients, it is both tasty and unusual. They also offer a 10% discount to local businesses here in Cherrywood. I am upgrading my star rating from 1 star to 3 stars. :-)

I love coming here especially after a work out in the gym next door. The food is superb and all quiet healthy! There’s some lovely salad options and are a good size.
There are some delicious cakes to try which I often have to resist with all my might) Usually a different one every day.
As it’s situated in the business park of Cherrywood, business is relied heavily on the surrounding businesses for trade. The gym claims ownership of the carpark out front (bit of a pain so don’t park there unless you have a gym sticker!) but an adjacent building has kindly given 5 free spaces to the café. There a lovely seated area by a large pond outside to enjoy your lunch.
The interior décor is bright and airy with a slight nautical theme. It’s called the lighthouse café after all!
They sell ginger beer which makes me happy ;) the coffee is Mcabes.
It’s located just off the M50 exit 16 and off the N11 too so it’s easy to get to. Opening hours are 7:30−4pm mon-​fri and 10 – 3 for Saturday brunch which I’m here to say is so tasty. Mmm egg florentine.
