I’ve given their lunch box a five star. Now it’s a three star for the Malaysian dish I had today…

Inauthentic and untasty. Even if a place is not authentic, it could still be good. Not the case here. The thai red curry had a wierd, slimy consistency, as if the coconut milk added was artificial. The singapore style noodles were acceptable, but I, personally, didnt love it.

I really wanted to write this for a longer time now. The place is really nice and the food was delicious. I was enjoying the food and had a nice conversation without actually having to speak louder — like in most places with background music. The food was very good and the Curry Duck is a must-​try dish. The staff is friendly and they are very helpful. I must say, if you are searching for a nice, quiet place to eat something good — Zao:)

Nice spot, excellent food and service. Just finished a wonderful meal on our second visit here. Great starter selection followed by a wide variety of mains. My favourite pad Thai was plentiful and superbly seasoned. Can’t wait for 3rd return visit.

Zao has lovely cheap food. But that’s about it. Little to no atmosphere in the place. Décor is dated and it was cold in the restaurant and Baltic in the toilets. I find it hard to be completely negative about any restaurant so… at a stretch I might consider going back because of the cinema next door. Oh yeah one more point, had a family meal here and I did enjoy myself as we brought our own atmosphere and crack.
