Went here recently for a group dinner, on arrival I found the host very abrupt and with a mention of us arriving too early without entertaining the notion that we booked earlier, in fact she did cut my colleague off mid sentence — WHAT! Rude! We were then, as a group of 14 made hoodie outside for 20 mins, not great! And given we had rushed from our previous venue to make it here, we lost some momentum in the night. Finally after been seated, we had drinks ordered to the table and our group ordered two courses, starter and mains. The starters came out prompt and everyone enjoyed the food though from there it all went downhill… Having finished starters, plates were cleared and it was approx. 45 mins before the mains started to arrive and then to my horror, they were coming out 1 plate at a time, with 1 minute apparent so it was this slow process coming from the kitchen, just 1 person bring one plate at a time… Are you kidding me? It took over 10 mins for all of us at the table to get our mains, some peoples food was going cool. I have also to shout out how lack lustre the steak was on presentation, as you can see from my pics, the steak literally comes as a lump of meat on the plate with nothing else… And as the service was so terrible, it was 3 – 4 mins before they got a size of vegetables and potatoes so it was all disjointed but in fact, I know what they have the veg/potatoes in separate dishes put them on the one plate, there was a lot of disappointed eyes around the table as the steaks came plus as a group, everyone who had the steak had varies sizes/cuts; I think whilst they might be the same weight, it was clear not everyone got a good cut. We sat at 8:40pm and instead of enjoying a 3 courses, half of our group had to leave to make their last bus/train home cause it was 10:30 before mains where finished. It was clear this place did not handle to hustle and bustle the Christmas dinner/party session brings and I’d be reluctant to recommend this place as a venue for group dinners, who knows if you’re dinning just as a couple you might have a better turnaround?

Under whelming. I had heard of this restaurant as a fantastic place to get a steak, and as a man who enjoys a steak I said it would be a great opportunity to experience a proper steak. Due to the quality of reviews on this and other reviewing apps perhaps my expectations were too high The steak I received which I ordered rare was practically well done It lacked the simple juiciness and tenderness of a properly done steak. Also there pepper sauce needs serious work It was served cold And actually took away from the overall flavour of the steak instead of adding to it as a good sauce should 2 stars But for the price here when you could get a better steak for half the price in other places I’m being generous

This was the first place I went to after moving to Dublin. I love the early bird menu here. Best wings in town #notjustaprettysteak. The steaks are always cooked perfectly and the relais de Paris sauce, oh my!

Unbelievably unbelievable The staff are extraordinarily friendly and will go out of their way to help and assist you with anything at all. Every time I’ve eaten here I’ve been surprised by the waiter offering or recommending new items, drinks and offers. Their bedside manner is delightful and charming too! They aren’t imposing at all and are always on the ball when bussing your table, replacing cutlery if necessary and refilling water. The menu itself is brief enough but the dishes are quite unique. I ordered a French Onion Soup to start and Steak and Potatoes as a main. The sauces are incredible too, they offer a vast array, each one as delectable as the last. My favourite is the peppery one. A 2 course meal only costs € 19.50 and 3 courses will be € 24.50 You’ll be stuffed and satisfied! I recommend booking ahead because it’s hard to predict when it’ll be packed or not! With a lot of competition in the Pembroke District, it’s hard not to notice Beeftro’s immense popularity as there tends to be more people there than the Port House, The Counter and Wagamamas combined… Ok maybe not Wagamamas.

Nice wee spot, food was nice! Got wings(unreal spicy) and steak which was epic! The music being played in the background was slightly weird french I think! Overall though a nice place.

Wow pretty great actually! Dundrum has a reputation for kind of gimmicky eateries setting up here first and then spreading to other shopping centres before the rot sets in. Beeftro is certainly different — nice interior, great food, super service and actually good value when you consider the quality of what you are getting. Now it’s not cheap, but I think it is good value for money. We tried it with two kids in tow and they didn’t bat an eyelid, there is even a kids menu which I didn’t know beforehand. The burger was awesome, herself had the rump steak which was great, also a side of mushrooms and onion rings which were excellent. Crème brûlée to finish it off for under € 20 for the two courses. Will definitely be back.

Great spot. This evenings steak set the pace for the«Best steak I’ve had in ages» Sparks of New York had previously held that accolade. It’s cosy but not cramped and the booths are curved that allow 3 couples to sit comfortablely at them. Staff are pleasant, run by what I imagine is a «Firm but Fair«Manager. But what tied it all together this evening was the young lad who was working on our table. The kinda guy that played for rock 2nds, everyone said he should have made the sct but just missed out, even after that heartbreak, had a great outlook on life and didn’t let it get him down, everyone liked him, great banter out of him and a real people person. This really showed tonight and made our evening. Watch out for him.

Short and(sorta) sweet review as all I had here was the beef bourguignon. I loved the décor and vibe of this place(it was very newly opened at the time) Service was good and my initial impressions were, I’d definitely would be back. The dish itself was fair, the mash and accompanying veg were delicious. It was the beef itself that was a letdown, a little stringy, a little tougher than I’d like for a beef bourguignon! I’m still willing to give Beeftro a go but next time I’ll head for the Balfe Street location and probably go for something else!

Ok, this time my steak was rare as ordered. Giving the 5 stars now as it was wonderful. If you can, do the early bird otherwise it might be quite pricey.

A surprising discovery in the Dundrum centre, with good steak choices(as well as other dishes) and good value. The quirky detail is that they play(only) French music in the environment, and it’s quite a modern selection. They also have a nice selection of beers(Porterhouse) and wines.

I really love this place! A chilled, slightly French styled steak house restaurant. Their early bird includes a gorgeous sirloin steak, which a lot of steak restaurants seem to omit. Big thumbs up here! Their house sauce on the steak is delicious. I found the service excellent, they take the time to see you’re okay but don’t overdo it. We also felt that we were given plenty of space and time to enjoy our delicious meal and chat and catch up too. Sundae for dessert was delicious and the chicken wings went down very well for starter too. I look forward to returning!

I’ve eaten here twice now. The first trip was excellent. I have the filet steak and a brownie that was a special for desert. noth were delicious. My parented had the steak on the set menu wish was surprisingly excellent and all for € 20. Great value for two course. The second time I have the burger which I didn’t enjoy especially in comparison to the one I has in the neighbouring restaurant counter.. The bun was stale also. I told the waitress at the end cos I’m your typical Irish person not wanting to make a fuss. They we lovely about it. Offered me a free tea or coffee on the spot, which I declined. The manager/super visor again offered me tea or coffee when we went to pay the bill. Definitely like the way they took the issue seriously and tried to make amends. I will return.
