The Old Forge Inn Pub

Visited a couple of times after hiking or scootering around Enniskerry. Handy location just across the street from the 44 bus stop. On a weekday afternoon it is a quiet spot, plenty of labeled taps at the bar but only a few of them are working. Never tried any food here, I believe it is ok.

My friend and I came to the little town of Enniskerry after exploring Powerscourt and I was really in the mood for lamb so we chose to eat here. And let me tell you, the lamb was phenomenal. Best dish I had on my Ireland vacation. Super tender meat that was perfectly complimented by the root vegetables and mashed potatoes. I ate that dish CLEAN.
My friend ordered the fish and chips, and asked if there was any way she could get mashed potatoes instead of fries because she isn’t into too much fried food. The restaurant was very accommodating. My friend is also an Ironman and we found out that our bartender was also one as well!
They have live music on the weekends I believe. Great atmosphere because the locals will all gather here and sing or dance along.
