My favourite pub in Ennistymon, hands down. Love Cooleys as well. Eugene’s is an institution run by the McNamara family. Step inside this gorgeous old place and you’ll likely find yourself chatting it up with — imagine this! — Eugene himself. Lovely man with the gift of conversation and lively craic. The pub serves outstanding pints of Guinness and EXCELLENT Irish coffees. The fresh dollop of cream on top will hit the spot. There’s a quietude here. Repose. Yes there are tourists, but Ennistymon is largely overlooked by the hoards of people heading for the Cliffs of Moher. It’s a place for locals, craic and music. Don’t miss the Cascade falls here or the charm of the people. Eugene’s itself is full of decorations, characters, details and delights.
