Amazing! We were looking for a place to eat and watch the Ireland game and stumbled upon this pub. They don’t sell food but we could order from next door and eat at the pub. Joan was super helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

This place has real Irish music almost every night. I especially like Wednesdays when the old players hold sway. They play and sing little known old songs. There was a fellow on that night who did «the brush dance» and he and the barmaid did a traditional dance called «Shoe the Donkey». What a lovely time!

Am rating this place 4 stars on account of its authenticity and the quality of its Guinness. It’s a lovely pub along the main street in Ennistymon. On the day we visited, Cooley’s had a barmaid with a sharp tongue and a regular at the bar who was encouraging her to use it. The banter was amazing and the Guinness was even better. The barmaid was full of gregarious chatter and offered us some useful information about attractions in the area. Cozy without being cramped and completely unpretentious, Cooleys has many down-​to-​earth qualities that warrant a stop-​off for a perfect pint and a few lighthearted laughs when you’re passing through Ennistymon.
