The Autobahn

Lovely spacious pub with very nice staff. Great for a bite to eat, very good quality food and reasonably priced. Plenty of alcoves to relax and have a chat.

Its embarrassing to say but I only live five minutes down the road from here, and my best friend lives next door, yet i have never drank in the Autobahn before, that is until my friend rented the function room for his birthday in here last weekend.(i havent really been missing out on too much!!)
It really is your typical suburban local pub although there is nothing much to say about it! Its large, kind of dark, not much atmosphere and the barmen are less then friendly…
there was always a queue at the bar even though it wasnt even that busy, i waited 20mins for a pint while watching the barmen were just walking around aimlessly. I can just about put up with the lazyness and general wollyness of the barmen, but when they dont even look at you when they take your money and just grunt, this tends to boil my blood.
The only reason it gets two stars is because of the smoking which is really nice and the fact i didnt waste taxi fare on this place.
also no late licence or music!!!

i may just have a bad first impression of this place due to the ignoraness of the barmen, but i honestly found nothing that appealled to me that would make me want to spend a night here!

Located in the heart of Glasevin, this gem of a bar is a great place for food, drink and a bit of craic! The service is good, if a little slow but to be honest, you’re not in a hurry when you get to this place. They have a good range of beers and pinta and the wine list is adequate for a bar. The food menu is extensive, serving everything from steak to poultry and vegetarian! Worth a visit!
