This little Italian café sits looking out to the harbour in Howth and while looks a bit plain from the outside serves great coffee and some authentic Italian dishes. The staff too were Italian and cheerful and articulate. I asked one of them if the Starbucks that had just arrived up the road was taking their business and his answer was given with a bit of a chuckle. He said that with Howth being so far from the city center and being a tourist destination people did not want to go to over-priced coffee shops and that their coffee was more superior. I tend to agree, Starbucks to me is becoming like the MacDonald’s of coffee, ok in a pinch but not if there are better places around. Like II Panorama café.

The pizza is just gorgeous with great service and a true Italian feel to this place. Very authentic and so reasonably priced. Can justify it as a midweek treat easily. Heard great reviews of breakfast so looking forward to trying that!

One of the tiniest restaurants you could find but packed full of character, atmosphere and amazing food. Il Panorama Is owned by an Australian & Italian and they are a really great friendly duo. They offer super Italian food with Pizza, Panni’s, Anti Pasti, pastries and to wash it all down a lovely wine selection and some prosecco. The pizza is a real winner ! It is located in a perfect spot along the main street in Howth Harbour with lovely views out towards the harbour and of all the fishing boats. Although it looks tiny they manage to fit lots in so don’t be put off if the place looks busy. If you are looking for a nice spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the world go by don’t pass this little gem

Lovely spot. It reminds of Amalfi coast cafes, lots of fresh pastries, fresh deli and lovely sfaff. Great selection of paninis. You can seat outside and enjoy the view and even feed some birds.

I had a Darwin panini and my friend a Melbourne. Both were great and the ingredients super fresh(they cut the ham on the spot!). The coffee is good and the music awesome(if you’re into the 80s as well). I’d definitely recommend this place!

I love this place! Staff are so friendly and locals drop in all the time. Fantastic view over Howth harbour and the coffee is consistently good. Good range of homemade cakes and pastries. Outside tables and seats will be back soon after a re-paint.

Cheap and good. I had a glass of cabernet while I waited for a delicious panini. I also took home a couple of slices of cake. So good. You can stop by here before or after your walk around the beautiful area. The staff is really nice and again, the prices are really good.

Best coffee within 10ks of Howth. Authentic, delicious and inexpensive Italian pizzas. Great poached egg with turkey breakfast. And you can enjoy wine by the glass with hand picked wines from Australia and Italy. A must visit.

This Café is a great spot to stop by after a walk along Howth pier and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and panini or glass of wine and cheeseboard! Both options are amazing and the view from the window is gorgeous overlooking the harbour. The only thing I would say is the café is very small so if you would like a seat you would need to avoid peak times!

If you think you’ve had the best pizza in Dublin, you haven’t unless you’ve been here! This is such a cosy spot located right on Howth pier! Killer views, lovely staff and a chilled out atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for a casual date(if you should be so lucky) or a impromptu get together with the girls! As I said, the pizza is beyond amazing, and those panini’s…oh boy! The wine is reasonably priced too, and if your into coffee, they do an insanely good cup! Defiantly a place worth visiting if your in the Howth area! Bear in mind the inside area is quite small, so be prepared to dine al fresco!

Coffee is ok nothing special. The panini are AMAZING ! I tried the Perth(Aubergine, mozzarella Di buffala PLEASE, artichoke). Cheap as well 4,40 for the panini. So good. It’s nice to hear the team speak in Italian, it gives a nice atmosphereinside(hope they say good things: p). Staff are lovely so don’t hesitate.

Can’t fault this place, the best pizza I’ve had so far in Dublin, great coffee and cake and super friendly staff — add to that the prices are so reasonable, where else would you get Prosecco for &5.50?! A must visit if you are in Howth and looking for a casual bite to eat:

I went here with my girlfriend to grab a bite to eat. We got some pizza and something which was like bruschetta, can’t remember the name! The food was perfect and the service couldn’t have been better. The only thing I would have against the place is it’s size and it was quite busy when we were there so people were brushing against you while eating. I say during the summer though when it’s warm enough to sit outside this place will be perfect. I will defintiely go back.

My boyfriend and I stopped here to get some food to take with us to Ireland’s Eye. We both got paninis. Normally I wouldn’t order a panini somewhere, because as an American, when I hear the word«panini» I picture a toasted sandwich with sliced bread which doesn’t appeal much to me. The paninis at Il Panorama Café were made with delicious bread; not sure what kind, maybe Ciabatta. They were also about twice the size of paninis made with sliced bread as they use individual loaves for each sandwich. The best part though, was that the meat was sliced/shaved fresh for each sandwich! The sandwiches were so amazing that I’ve debated making another trip out to Howth during our vacation just to get more of their sandwiches. One small downside, the restroom had no toilet seat. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt though, and just hope that it was very recently broken so they haven’t had time to replace it.

I moved to Howth from the heady atmosphere of Marin County, California. One from Marin County could easily go into shock if presented with a non-conforming latte, or even worse, insolence from a server. No worries here. Competence and friendliness abounds. The pannini are intriguing, with their Aussie handles. My favorite is the Melbourne. I may see you there, as I visit nearly every day. I am the tallest person in the shop. «The Yank». Il Panorama Café is a jewel in the crown of Howth. Had it been here in 900AD, the Vikings would be speaking Italian I am sure. I give it a big thumbs up for good coffee, fresh pastries, lovely pannini and charm.

I don’t live in Howth but often make the trip out, with the sole intention of visiting this place. Initially it’s a strange combination Aussie/Italian café, but it works. Really tiny, but so cosy and welcoming. You will always hear a chorus of «ciao» when you leave and the staff enjoy interacting with customers. Good coffee. Nice wine by the glass or bottle. Nice selection of antipasti platters and paninis too. You might feel like a stranger when you walk in the door, but will feel like you’ve been friends for years by the time you leave.

If good places come in small packages then this is one of them. We sat here one evening chatting with friends and drinking Prosecco. The space is limited but think cosy. The staff were great and most helpful. There is a small counter where food is prepared when you feel a bit peckish and in need of a nibble. There is a good space at the front where you are able to pop outside and have a cigarette or sit and enjoy a summers evening. I would be happy to go again.
