Smithwicks here was great. White rim on glass sides all the way down to the last drop. Although I did find out the next day on the Smithwicks tour this isn’t nessacarly a good indication of a good pint like you need to see with Guinness, it just means there is perhaps too much gas in pipes. Anyway the small local pub in its one tiny room had a great charm about it. The door was low so you had to bend down to get through. The old local men sitting in a group at the bar chatting away was nice to see, a lot different from some of the other pubs I seen later that night in the city with bands and music playing away all night. A must stop to just experience the small local pub scene in Kilkenny
