Killarney Oaks

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Killarney Oaks Hotel. Room was quiet, just what I asked for. In the Acorn Bar, I had the steak sandwich for dinner (great portion size!) even though we ordered at 8.55 and we had been told at check-​in that last orders were at 9pm and there was a lovely atmosphere there and in the lobby area for drinks. Breakfast was lovely, peppermint tea was no problem and neither was my request for toasted gluten free bread. The hotel was packed but you would never have guessed with how quiet it was at night. We only found out when we saw the tours at breakfast but luckily they have two dining areas one big area for the tours and a quieter smaller space for other guests. The staff also have to be mentioned — very friendly and helpful. All in all, thoroughly recommended!

Absolutely loved our stay at Killarney Oaks, with contemporary décor, an elegant lobby including a piano and orchids, friendly staff and quiet restful rooms. We dined in the Acorn Bar with it’s quaint traditional style interior it was relaxing and the portions were huge ! Choosing the Salmon & the Cheeseburger, the salmon was delicious and came with lots of sides and the cheeseburger was great and about the size of my head ! :)
I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to get the rest you need after taking in the beautiful sights of Killarney. This restful quiet hotel was a treat ! We will definitely be back :)

Called in with a friend for lunch. what can i say, i love this place, its always spotless, the food is always amazing and the staff are always happy and friendly. Bart & Flora were working when we called in and as always they were amazing. We had the shepherds pie off the lunch menu, which is amazing value at € 10 with tea/​coffee afterwards, and a main size Brie which also was amazing value and a massive portion. We didn’t have any room for dessert from all the food we got for our mains but i’m sure it would’ve been lovely. We will be back again soon.

The Killarney Oaks is a beautiful hotel, which is quite close to Killarney National Park, hence why my boyfriend and I decided to drop in after a long day touring around Killarney.
We managed to get there just in time for lunch, and so nabbed a large dinner for a tenner each. While the menu would not blow you away; plates included roast beef and vegetarian stir fry to name but a few, I felt that the food was excellent. My vegetables tasted like they were garden grown and my boyfriend wolfed down his dinner without complaint, even eating my left overs after I was stuffed!
The waitress was lovely and the atmosphere relaxing.
Definitely would stay here if in Killarney again.
