Wanted to have dinner here. Was put off by a sexist advert saying that women going topless get a free beer. Thanks, but no thanks.

Food and company was best we experienced in all of Ireland! Don’t be put off by the location in the alley as this place is a hidden gem. The space itself is a fantastic mix of old and new Ireland and is worth the visit alone. Roger, Debbie and Jennifer made us feel right at home and it was awesome to have an amazing meal amongst our new friends. The mix of food will satisfy any parties taste. We had the lamb shank and the stir fry which were both amazing… I would do the lamb shank as it was insane! Want to go back and try the monkish.

Very nice place! Had spring rolls as a starter. My wife had the fish & chips and I had the stuffed chicken. Awesome!

This place is great. Took the advice of other Unilocalers and checked it out. My wife had the fish and chips and said it was the best she has had in Ireland so far. I had the stuffed chicken Brest and was throughly impressed. The staff was great and friendly. I even got the experience to watching the waitress deal with one of those customers that just have to find something wrong with a meal and complain about it. The customer in my opinion was complaining about a trivial thing but the waitress handled her with understanding and grace(this as I rolled my eyes). Fantastic place and fully recommended.

I am just a tourist and I don’t know the area but the fact that this restaurant is tucked away in a quiet alley, really appealed to me. We didn’t check the reviews but decided to chance it, The servers were friendly and professional. The hummus and Irish chicken was amazing(and I come from a real foodie part of America). The chocolate cake was a perfect way to finish the evening. If you are in the mood to escape the noisy pubs, this is a great way to spend your evening.

Best fish and chips I had while in Ireland. It’s off the beaten path on a little alley street. Very unique little place where locals and tourist who know about it go. If you go in you’ll see pictures of the pub when it was pretty much the only place in town. Look at the décor for gorgeous details and they serve a great pint of Guinness here. Not to be missed

in all the years i have been living in Killarney, it never once occurred to me to call into Stonechat for food until one of my friends said we should go there for lunch. i was not disappointed. this place is amazing. from Noreta the waitress who was amazing, professional and friendly to the food which was out of this world. i had the french onion soup which came out with cheese on, i wasn’t sure until i tasted it, and it was heavenly. it was so nice i almost didn’t have room for my lunch. i ordered the vegetarian omelette, and i ate every bite, even the salad was amazing. i will definitely be making this somewhere i go more often.

I/We have been in Dublin, Wexford, Rosslare, Kinsale, and drove The Dingle Peninsula and The Ring of Kerry; in most of these places I/we have had Irish Stew and Traditional Fish & Chips. The Stew and the F&C here at Stonechat is second to none; it is the best!

Amazing dinner, service and atmosphere an absolute delight! Soup prepared fresh, warm and inciting on a chili wet day. An abundance of colourful vegetables prepared perfectly in the stir fry.
